this is the problem:
"Defence lawyer Christopher Nowlin said Pasqua's troubled background, which included abuse in residential schools, and the disproportionate representation of aboriginals in Canada's prison system warranted a lenient sentence."

what it warrants is a bullet in her head.

At this point after being a crack ho for some period of time she has pretty much wasted her grey matter and her life.If they say she was abused in residential schools maybe they should make an effort to bring those people responsible to justice? It couldn't have been that long ago. That might be a lot more satisfying.

I wish I had a magic ticket like she had. No taxes, free tuition, must be great.

Drugs... serves them right...

Its injust, but given the circumstances.. buying drugs in a trucking yard... who can feel too sorry for anyone, where was dad when his kid got addicted to drugs?

Free dental too I think? My indian buddy always used to brag, said the government practically pays him to go to school, and he went to the dentist and got all kinds of procedures for nothing. Perfect teeth.

The bottom line is the "victim" was a crackhead involved in a physical fight with another crackhead.... That was the biggest factor in the leineint sentence. He pushed her into the tracks just prior, and it was just a matter of luck she didn't end up getting hit.
Two crackheads fighting over a $10 rock...lol.... to bad they both didn't get hit.
As far as that Father being all indigant now, where was he while his 17 YO son was out smoking crack?

"I wish I had a magic ticket like she had. No taxes, free tuition, must be great"

^^^^^
And despite all of it very few complete high school, let alone a secondary school where tuition is required...
Its easy to throw rocks, but I'm thinking if you grew up on a reserve where everybody was dependent on the Government you'd end up the same.
I don't agree with most of your rants bowl, but your not completey wrong here. The current system is not working at all..... Giving endless handouts without a plan to be self sufficient doesn't work.... and its been tried to death.

If ever sent to jail I'll mention the high level of white males there, so I should catch a break, right?

It doesn't really matter what they do with her.People like that are completely shot....turn her life around? Not likely. Can't agree that they have a magic ticket...so many dysfunctional families.I would bet she has never met her father. The father of the kid should have stepped in with a right hand to straighten him out...
