I am 33, and when I was a kid, we didnt live in a little bitch nanny state, where the Liberals and socialists of the country demanded the government raise us.
Soooo, we had many pastimes that weren't perfectly safe :)
We rode bikes with no helmets, and jumped off the roof into piles of leaves. We played with fire often, and played war with pelet guns (below the knees only).
One thing I found quite funny was that we had lawn darts, and NEVER used them as they were intended. Screw the rings.... we threw those suckers into the air as high as we could, and dodged them as they came raining down upon us.
Any of you guys share the same fun as a child?

True and most of us survived with only surface scars...lol
we used to have blow gun dart battles, we were poor tho..
the blowpipe was a 1/2" copper pipe taped to a piece of wood
the dart was magazine paper twisted into a cone (theres a special technique), with a sweing pin at the tip
no one lost an eye but few came close

Crab apple fights anyone!?
Snowboarding/bicycle ramps which always got bigger and bigger.
and "play fighting" which always started fun and ended in brawls.. haha we had three rules 1. no kicking in the nuts 2. fight stopped at first sign of blood at which point you were considered the loser 3. no matter what.. you never told mom.
Oh to be kids...
lol you bet. we played street hockey every day for maybe 3-4 years straight. Summer, winter...didnt matter. Every few days there was a fist fight, but we always stayed friends LOL
my buddies and i used to play tag with roman candles.
pretty smart.

I remember always playing in/around construction sites houses/ apts and we would climb old buildings and houses and jump off rooves all the time. Never got anything worse than a little sprained ankle.

How about Lego CrossBows?
Used to make CrossBow's and have Lego wars. Good times..
If a kid were to do/bring things to school that I brought as a kid, he/she would be arrested or tazered.. lol...
It was so nice back then. You brought your new UZI BB Gun from KMart in your school bag to show your buds.. Shit, you do that today; yikes....

Remember playing with blackcat firecrackers.
One of us would hold the firecracker on top of a sewer grate, and another would be in charge of lighting it. The one holding it had to wait until the very last second to release it, so that it would explode inside the sewer, and cause a loud echo.
Could have been nasty if we had waited too long to release it lol

Remember playing with blackcat firecrackers.
I got caught selling blackcats in grade 5 lol. Buddy's older brother went to florida and smuggled a bunch back. It was our job to unload them haha. We got busted :(
My dad was pissed right off cause he wanted some to play with.....

Ah blackcats!
We used to shoot each other with home made bow and arrows. My brother got an arrow in the eye on two separate occasions. We had a 8' table top BMX jump. We used to climb up trees and jump out of them and catch branches on the way down. Lots of road rash from bmxing and from full contact road hockey with my older brothers.
used to to throw rocks, and chunks of gravel at each other when it was too warm for snowball fights. How no one lost an eye I dont know.
Highschool we had a game where everyone would throw nickels and dimes into a circle of people. One guy would try to get in and grab as many as they could while everyone in the circle kicked him.
Would ride GT's down a giant hill that whent right into a barb wire fence. Would have to jump off before we hit.
Stick wars, beat each other with sticks.
Corn wars, beat each other with corn in a corn field.
Probably forgetting a lot more than this.

Suicide - Game involving a wall, tennis ball and trying to kill someone if they dropped the ball. Now would be banned as violent.
