View Full Version : Interesting assessment of our situation in Afghanistan.
*Cliffs* Make sure there are enough boots on the ground, and give them the equipment they need. (Haven't we been saying this since, oh...the late '70's!?! :( )

Thats ****ing great, an American think tank has the time to critisize us about our shortcomings in war lol.
I wonder if they calculated the impact of sending 100k American troops into Iraq for no reason ( ya think they were needed in Afghanistan? ) or the endless ****ups in American policy?
LOL what a ****ing joke. They send 100k troops into Iraq ( for no reason ), meanwhile the Taliban and Osama are regrouping in Pakistan, and Pakistan is getting billions in American aid...... but I guess because we didn't do a good enough job of stabilizing our little section, it's our fault.
This isn't our war, its just another example of American Imperialism.
We need to get our guys out of there and let the Americans handle "nation building" on their own. It's never worked before, it won't work now.
Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

As stated in the article, the quality of our soldiers is not a question here; it is the overall strategic use of them - thus the new head of ISAF being named.
Also, when analizing the situation, it has to be done in a scientific way; no emotion or comparing to a different situation. Dry and somewhat "inhuman?" yup...but if you want a clear picture of the situation, it has to be that way.
Having said that, you're right about the Iraq war. :)
