Anyone else live beside someone with dog's that don't shut the **** up?!

As soon as I open my door, they start barking uncontrollably. The only thing the neighbor does it sit there and watch or say "I'm gonna get the hose". I can't even open up a window without them going berserk. What makes it worse is that they're football sized dogs...I've often thought of throwing a rock or something at them (because they are right where my dog goes to the bathroom) but I figured I'd probably be easily found out seeing as I'm the only one who yells at the top of his lungs for them to shut their ****ing dog's up.

People in this neighborhood are surprisingly tolerant. EX: a year or 2 ago the asshole across the road broke into my car and stole my mp3 player, and also broke into the other car here and sat in it. Once the police came, and of course didn't do anything...everyone just said "oh that's just ______ (guy's name)" I was like WTF, i don't care if he's got head problems...he was in my ****ing car...that's not okay.

Tolerant neighbours who listen to yappy little balls of fur that won't shut up are just as annoying as the dog's themselves. Thank god my dog rarely barks...he give's them the disappointed "pfffft" look when they start barking at him and carries on ignoring them hahaha...it's hilarious!

My neighbor no longer talks to me because of his yappy dog.

I asked him to look after his dog and be responsible... Then the next time I called animal control (bylaw) and they reiterated that to him. He actually listened and I no longer hear his dog, BUT we almost got into three fist fights so far. He is 20 years older than me, and I guess feels I have no right to be int he neighborhood, and no right to talk to him like the way i do.

word, dogs are only as good as their owners.......If my dog disturbed the neighbours, he would have a sore ass until he learned his role....lol...seriously, nothing worse than a bad dog owner, its just laziness......not compassion for animals, just ****en lazy......I dont like lazy, but wouldnt hurt the dog.....
Our dog poops in abandoned lots, i feel guilty about it, but hes fast, perches and poops, done in 3 seconds, we do clean up the lot sometimes, but its empty....lol...i feel guilty about that, nevermind disturbing neighbors...

i'll also add that these people just finished breeding 2 of the 3 yappy bastards and now there is at least 1 puppy joining in. the funny thing is that almost every other neighbor has a dog too...one of them actually has 3 big ass labs and they bark once (sort of like a greeting) and shut up as soon as they're told or feel they've said hello. the small dogs are always the mouthy ones...personification at it's finest!

i may not be the best dog owner...i don't take him out nearly enough for walks...but people who let their dogs bark should have one of those collars on their neck that shocks them every time they talk.

i've thought about calling the cops about it, but they'll know it's me...

Bad dogs are created by bad owners. People generally do not want to take the time to train their dogs properly.

100% agree

Although my buddy (seen in my Avatar) is a yorkie (Allergies limit the breeds I can have.... ) and that breed "Yorkies" are knows as yappers..

My dog knows better... Not a Bark from that dog since maybe it was 3 months old. He's 5 years old now and does not bark at all. As my Fiance calls him, our "Angel Puppy". :>

Not sure how I'd fare training a Dobie or something more inline with my liking..

Poor dogs in general (and Cats... ), bad owners make for bad pets

Anyone who thinks it's ok to throw rocks at dogs or kick a dog or use physical violence against a dog is a moronic idiot. Inflicting pain on a defenseless animal makes you a low life.

Give me a break...as if i'd actually throw a rock at a dog. Spare me your lecture. If they were any kind of an owner...or neighbor for that matter...they'd learn to discipline their dogs and train them to behave properly in a city. Try doing shift work with 3 yappy dogs going apeshit for no reason! Try being someone who has to pick and choose when to take his dog out because his asshole neighbors have no respect for anyone on the block. Try having to keep your dog indoors while you go to work all day because your neighbors don't have the common courtesy to even attempt to solve the problem...then when you're angry enough, come talk to me about what you want to do to the dogs.

I think we're all smart enough to realize animal abuse is wrong, but thanks for your input captain obvious.

Kick a neighbors's yappy dog...... probably not..... Kill a neighbors aggressive dog (pitty).... Came pretty close lol..... After I called Animal control once and it came after me again (on the street) I had the 12 Guage loaded lol... not quite as discreet as a pork chop soaked in antifreeze, but at that point I was sick of the owner thinking he was baddass letting his agressive dog run loose in a residential area.....I let the authoritys handle it in the end, but sometimes I still wish I'd blasted that ****er and left its owner picking his teeth out of his shit......

I think we're all smart enough to realize animal abuse is wrong, Maybe so, but it sounds like that wouldn't stop some from doing it anyway, including you.

Theres a big difference between abuse and disipline.
If Chunks neighbor is to much of an asshole to control his animals, Chunks within his rights to take care of it.

I agree there's a difference, no doubt. Unfortunately, there is an entire (under)class of people who are either clueless that a difference exists or simply don't care. Out on the streets I come across it all the time... dog owners who think they are "disciplining" or training" their dogs but in fact are flat out abusing them. Denying your dog affection or a treat or their favorite toy...those are discipline tools. Inflicting pain on a pet on any level is abuse. I sympathize with Chunk and his dilemma but my point is that this is an irresponsible neighbor issue. It didn't sound to me like he was joking about throwing rocks. I'm not going to apologize for speaking up for innocent dogs. If a foot needs to go up an ass it should be the neighbor's ass, that's all.

Totally agree.
Kids and pets....... Either way I'd be more inclined to put my foot in the Parents/Owners ass than the Kid or animal.
Kids and animals are just a reflection of how their raised and disiplined.
