Just got some new wrist wraps last night...can't wait to try them out. Neoprene under-padding with wrap around velco closure keeps my wrists locked real tight.

Anybody else wrap wrists for lifts?

I use them all the time now for chest day since my joints are tiny! and grabbing them big DB's will feel like i'm going to crack a bone when i don't have 'em.

I wear them for all my heavy presses, shoulder raises, and tri/bi exercises. Definate must for heavy weights hanging off the arms.. love mine... I have super small wrists too.

I use them for all my heavy lifts, my joints are super tiny as well! No need to put extra undue stress on them for the later yrs ;) imo

I use them for heavy lifts also.

I've tried a few different wraps but to me nothing can beat the prostraps material.

Has anybody tried using the powerlifter wraps? It seems like they might give even more support but unwrapping then re-wrapping every set seems time consuming. even the velcro i loosen between sets to let the circulation come back to my hands.

I used wrist wraps back when I competed. The guys I was training with insisted. After the meet I just wanted to go back to lifting without support and the pain in my wrists without the wraps was amazing. I was only in wraps for about 3 months and they got sooo much weaker because of them. It took a fair bit of time for them to get back to being pain-free without being wrapped. Since then... Wrap-free!

I use a set of powerlifting wraps. apt blue mambas to be exact. wrap 'em up tight and its like wearing a cast. they help in deadlifting as well.....crank 'em really tight and they help keep your grip set.

on a side-note....I have been using wraps for the last 2 years and have not experience any of the weakness that our buddy above me describes.....I went without wraps last night on my speed day for bench and noticed nothing different!

Yeah i seen those Tex. They look awesome but do you keep them wrapped up the whole workout or just for your sets then release the pressure between?

I've got the APT wraps also and if done right ( tight ) you will only be able to keep them on for the set as your hand will go numb from loss of blood.

Also you will have a hard time opening your hands when they are on nice and tight :greet
