Well i figured i would start a log to help keep track of how im feeling and the progress im making while i am dieting for my competition in April.

My diet starting out at 20 weeks is:

1) 12 egg whites and 5 oz of oatmeal

2) 10 oz tuna with 2 cups cooked rice

3) 10 oz salmon or cod with 10 oz potatoe

4) 10 oz lean beef with 2 cups rice

5) 10 oz tuna or salmon with 10 oz potatoe

6) 10 oz chicken with 10 oz baby carrots

this is jsut the first week - adjustments every week depending on weight lost and how i am looking.

currently sitting at 270 6ft. 1
training 5 days a week 2 off

started this yesterday and although it seems like a lot of food i am still hungry all night. Other than that lots of energy and really pumped to get back in shape.

just never seen a contest prep diet include carrots - 20 weeks or 1 week out.

A guy I workout with has done about 5 shows and he lives off of chicken ,rice and carrots basically throughout the whole thing.

well since starting dieting im up 6 pounds. i sure hope this is part of the plan i wasnt weighing myself everyday. prolly just water on shit from starting back on. i feel super awesome right now though, super strong, tons of energy, feels good to be eating right again.

Ya, carrots are starchy thus it's better to stick to greens, but you're a ways out so if you like um, enjoy! I'll be keeping an eye on this thread as I too am competing in April... which competition? NS provincials by chance?

Saskatchewan provincial. april 24th in regina

picture this morning - im 15 weeks out weighing in at 263. **** it sucks dieting over christmas holidays. diet prolly wasnt 100 percent being on the road lots and what not.

yah i know - i blew out both knees skiing one year. they are better this year than last. hopefully another year or two of good offseason and they will be in porportion.

son of a biatch. dropped 7 pounds this week. when i looked at the scale i was like WTF happened. i didnt even do all my cardio being a little busy and i ate all my meals. the week before i dropped 2.5 and my diet really didnt change that much. the only thing that changed was i upped my growth a fair bit. i sure hope im a bit dehydrated and didnt lose muscle.

its been awhile

sitting at 250 on the nose yesterday morning

need to start tanning more but work has been soo busy- ****ing oilfield either boom or bust no happy medium ever.

yah getting there i had one realllllyy bad week a couple weeks ago but everything is on track now. weighin around 240. way ahead of where i was last time this far out . legs still suck shit and thought i did a little better with them in the off season but ohh well worry about that next off season i guess. ill post up some pics tommorow after i weigh in.
