This year has seen my wife arrive from Cuba after a 18 month immigration battle. This is the first time she has seen snow, Christmas, been skating, gone to a real movie theatre. The list goes on. Sharing this with her has given me a greater appreciation of what we have in Canada. We have only just begun our lives together and there is great hope and optimism.
The bad....I had to stop training due to a hernia that needed to be looked at. But I am back at it now.
All in All...... All is grand.

I went to South America for vacation this fall. I feel bad for the way some of the locals have to live. They work all day harvesting fruits and vegetables and whatever else, and only make about $2-$5 a day. A top paid teacher there makes $200 a month. The houses they live in are just a bunch of shacks. It gave me a new look on life in Canada.

In Cuba it is $15.

Whoa...that really sucks. This was in Equador where they made $200. I thought that was bad. Jeez.

Some stats.... http://www.globalissues.org/article/26/poverty-facts-and-stats
Almost half the world — over three billion people — live on less than $2.50 a day
At least 80% of humanity lives on less than $10 a day.

That's sad. It pisses me off that people here complain that their lives or hard, and feels like they live in hell. These are people the ones who are still living with the parents, who have a roof over their head and cooked for. Complaining that their job doesn't pay them enough to pay for their new car, phone bill yade yada.
