not a super fast car, but i liked how it looked and drove.. though the painted dash was lame, i painted it back to black just before i sold it.

i like the older gen mustangs. my friend always ripped on them, but i thought the 5.0L were pretty cool.. i really liked the convertibles. did you wreck yours?

No the car did not receive boost. They gauges were in but a never had a chance to boost her. I was in the middle of a rebuild on the entire car(full teardown) and during that time was cut off by a transport truck in my other car(C5 corvette) and had to use the mustang money to fix the vette. Insurance refused to pay because I have no plate from the truck, no police report, no witnesses.

So I had to part out the mustang to recoup my losses :( The shell ended up in the graveyard.

I just like to throw in, no I was NOT some spoiled rich kid. While everyone one else was smoking weed and drinking I was working and saving money. Just FYI so there is no wrong impressions.

Sucks big time. 5.0s are no joke when it comes to performance but i don't really like the body style. BTW, what kind of boost application were you planning on running?

347 stroker with a procharger @12-15psi bolt to a TKO 500. Damn it was gonna be sweet :( I was expecting around 600hp at the wheels from this combo. The stroker combo had been built before (not for my car)and N/A it produced 500 at the flywheel.

I even had the tranny ready to rock. Mother&*^%ing truck.

Yeah it's probably one of my biggest regrets not finishing it but I didn't have a choice. I was building that car for one thing...To Whoop Ass.

I don't partake in street racing now though. I guess I grew up. I to just watch them go by.

Well this is ironic... Just sold my mustang today! :( I know it's just a car but I can't remember the last time I teared up! Grew up with it, bought it from a good friend.. owned it for 3 1/2 years.. sunk 30 grand into it... and had to let her go today... damnit priorities suck!

Really? I didn't know that... I saw a bunch of turbos and a couple superchargers.. but that was right around the time I sold mine, so I didn't keep up with it to see the outcome.

They do have a nice exhaust note, that was the one thing I really liked about them.

Yea Ive actually been looking into getting another one, although they are getting close to 15 years since the last car rolled off the production line.... So a lot of work would need to be done

Yeah, a lot of them are beat to shit by now... I looked at a few last year. I think the best thing to do if you want one is to peruse the MX6 enthusiast forums... guys are always sellin their rides, and you'd get it for way cheaper than they used to be.. probably get one with a bunch of good parts already in it.

ah, i guess it's been a little too long for them... i remember 5 or 6 years ago there were some really sick rides for sale on there. well, at least the stock ones are dirt cheap... with a bit of luck, can probably find a single owner car thats been properly maintained.
