Here is the deal:

I am 38 and in May I am turning 39.

I have been thinking for a while about hiring a trainer to do a 1 year project: look the best of my life at 40!

I am all right: 5'11 190 10% bf decent legs, defined back, 4 pack when a bit.

My problem is that I play volleyball and I am getting better and better at it, I love it and I know that I don't have many more seasons at a good level on me.

Hence the trainer idea: I was thinking about someone that can help me to keep my jump/quickness while improving my physique.

Is there someone out there that can do it?

Am I just deluding myself?

I believe that I know the answer to my dilemma: pick one and be great at it when 40 but I I want to know other opinions.

I stuck in my head already that I am going back to Brazil in 2011, and I'd like to be able to play with my nephews/nieces (vb is serious stuff there and they are quite good at it) on top of being the guy that looks best wherever I go.

If you're 10% you probably do look the best of your life. Or maybe not, but 10% at late 30s is better than 99% of the population.

You want to add plyometrics a couple times a week.
You can get a trainer, but a lot of times they are pretty generic and give you a cookie cutter routine. You'd probably be better off researching and making your own programs.

Of ocurse you can do both, Pretty much any trainer can give u a program. The key is to make it fun. Most people have no idea what % bodyfat they actually are, go by the mirror. What position are u playing obviously makes a huge difference if ur the setter vs hitter. I always played sports and did bodybuilding no reason u can't. Good luck

I actually work in the industry and was talking about a Bbuilding trainer as athletic training is not a problem, this year I am taking one or 2 Poliquin courses.

I know how to make people faster, I know how to make them stronger I am not 100% sure about making someone bigger and faster at the same time.

I guess I am just being lazy and don't want to sit a do a one year periodization cycle.

I believe that this is going to be my homework for the foreseeable future.

Last summer I did no cardio at all, just weights, planned carb consumption and a shitload of greens, supplements, dead animal and looked just great, now my spike is harder than ever.

Questions, questions, decisions... being an adult is just boring.

i am really banking on the technology perfection of robot-human limbs and organs.

it would be sick to have a super arm, or maybe a super spleen! with the advances in modern medicine and science i plan on living to be 200+ years old.

I'd prefer 200mg test/week plus a bionic penis

I'm currently better than ever, almost. A month ago I was down to 235 at approx 15% bf. 242 now and those 7 lbs aren't all quality. Strength is as good as ever and I'm taking just 125 mg test e weekly. Next cycle will be straight test, 750mg a week. Diet will be better. Hope to get things to 10-12%

Don't worry about losing much with the extra volleyball. Stick with basic moves ad you can build up what you have lost.
I never really was convinced you are gay but your love for volleyball has me convinced this is no passing fancy for men, lol. Watch out for them trannies when you go back to Brazil bro. They must be infested with every disease known to man.

Last tournament that I played I got a hit om my throat. I defended, we got the point, I walked to the 6'4" guy that lasted the ball and told him : Hit harder bitch I still am standing! I know that it is far from football but just for you to have and idea of what levels brazilians are going for...

Trannies? never tried that dish but they probably have even mad cow disease even though some look better than Jessica Alba
