This is the most annoying shit in the world for me. I turn on the tv and there is E news or some other shit show running with cameras after britney or paris or whatever attention whore is out there. I open my hotmail and there is britney or now linsey staring at me with a title linsey is broke.

LIKE I GIVE A SHIT. She's made more money than I'll ever make in my lifetime so if she's broke, it's too ****ing bad for her. Grow up.

I think entertainment has hit an all time low with this celeb news junkie fad.

I don't know about the rest of you but I've been in speaking distance a few few celebs including bruce willis, wesley snipes, micheal duncan clark, and a few others and I never felt anything of awe. Just like any other person in the street to me. Except Micheal Duncan, fugger was a fridge. Huge. But seriously, are peoples lives that boring and empty that they are interested in following the lives of others.

Celebs are overpaid, overrated, and over glorified. Most are only medicore at what they do.

They say they dont want to be in the limelight but they really do.

The truly good actors out there, you never hear about on E shows.
De Niro, Depp, Pacino guys like that rarely do interviews unless they have to in a promo tional contract. They pretty well stay quiet most of the time.

They used to be called "court jesters", and if they didn't amuse they were beheaded. Ah the good old days..

...or village idiots. LOL I agree with it all and just to add to that over-glorified part, it annoys me to no end when a celeb takes on a 'cause'. Even if it's a good cause or some charitable organization, it bothers me that they have so much clout and can get their views out there in the media simply because of the job they do (ie. acting..yeesh). Their opinions are no more or less important than anyone else's yet they can say what they want with impunity. It's even more annoying when a lot of them join together in some causes. Again, I know there are a number of great causes that they support, I just don't like the influence they have. And as a side note, with the money and fame they've achieved, it seems many times (not all) that they've lost their common sense, level-headedness, or even the normal man's perspective on a lot of topics. Anyone here join the 'Church of Oprah'? LOL.

Or how about when they make a movie and no matter how lame the movie is, there is supposed to be a deep social message in there somewhere. Admit it, you just made $25 mil. and that is your only reason for makeing the movie.

I REALLY love it when they get on some environmental cause. Here we have a group of people that are the largest consummer of our natural resources and they are going to beek off about saveing the environment!!

F**kin retards

When she built the houses in New Orleans it was a very nice thing to do. I dont agree with naming the streets after herself. Oprah Lane was one of the streets!

The ultimate showing of generosity is when you do something nice for someone with them knowing or ever finding out.

Not saying "look what I did, aren't I nice?"

Or adopting foreign children to "bring attention" to the hardships of that country. Niiiice.

While their country is falling apart and children are poor and go hungry every day, they have this need to save another country's children.

Exactly we have plenty of kids that need good homes here without going some where else. Lets fix our probs then get after the others.

I am all for helping when there is some kind of natural disaster etc but on a normal basis I think we should be concentrating on our stuff here at home when it comes to the charity thing or helping kids.
