I'm thinking about getting my first tattoo, probably tribal. I was told I should go big with my first one so I was thinking about getting it to go from my left bicep over my shoulder and upper back and then down to my right bicep. I think that would look pretty bad ass and it's a little more uncommon than the standard shoulder down to bicep.

I can't find anything really like this, I was just wondering where I could find something like this. Anyone else have any ideas?

just get yourself a cool arm band.....

if you want tattoos to look "bad ass" you are getting them for the wrong reason........

i feel i look pretty bad ass and dont have one tattoo......now thats unique.

I didn't say I'm getting one to look bad ass. I said the one I'm thinking of getting looks bad ass. Actually, you're right. I am getting one so I can look badass. One barbwire strip around my entire body...lol

If I do get one, it will be a dedication to the transformation I've made in life over the last year.

.....and it won't be barbwire for those who didn't catch on the sarcasm

My opinion:

i have none, and will not make a mockery of the body I have, or if I do, it will be a 1cmx1cm omega symbol somewhere discreet for a personal meaning. A big monstrosity will be regretted when youre old

As long it has meaning its worth it weather it's dedicated to a change in your life, a passed family member etc

I dude i know got a chicken wing tattooed on his bicep cause its his favorite food. Don't do that lol

Big doesn't have to equal a monstrosity, though. I'm sure I'll love mine till I kick off.

i have 4 good sized tattoos and they all have meaning, if your dead set on tribal forget picking somthing from a book or a picture, find a tattoo artist that has an album with some good looking designs and tell him to free hand one for you.

My general advice for tattoos is make sure it has a good meaning and if there's no meaning, make sure it's the coolest thing you've ever seen cause you'll need to love it for the rest of your life. I'm full of umm.. and currently in the process of getting two removed.. trust me, that laser hurts ten times more then the needle.

Couldn't agree with you more...I wish a few of mine meant more...I have a few big tribal designs and wish I would have waited for something meaningful!!

to each their own, I have some from when I was 16-18 that are quite lame lol, hence the when you get older part ha. But my new stuff has a ton of meaning to it, as in my kids names, my wedding etc., I would never call it a "mockery". the only thing I hate about ink now days is that nearly EVERYONE has one!

This just came to me.

A black knight/crusader(not that I'm anti-muslim or anything, they just look cool lol) pulling a sword from a stone.

The black armor represents the hardships, hate, and BS over the last couple years. The sword represents the my accomplishments and future goals. It would look really good and it feels right.

The knight and sword would look something like the pictures below. Not entirely sure where I would fit it all, maybe upper back somewhere. I could have it surrounded by tribal as well.

Just have to find an artist to draw it up.
