Stopped the Nolva about 3 weeks ago, only used it for 3 weeks 40/40/20..... Feel MUCH better after I stopped. Moods way better, acne is finally retreating..... Feeling normal again. I think I might give clomid a whirl next time.
In the 2 weeks after I stopped the cycle, before I started nolva I felt fine. Soon as I started nolva things started going bad.

scratch that.... i cried

as far as tamoxifen is concerned, it has been shown to reduce igf 1 and has been linked to the development of cancer in higher dosages for prolonged periods of use... the studies were posted on this board earlieer but im not about to dig them up

I hear that...

I developed skin cancer after extended use of nolva. Mind you, I was tanning, so obviously, I can't tie it to the nolva
but ... from what I have read, I'm not taking any chances.

Clomid only for this cat.

Same here... I had a dispute at work ( on my first cycle).. nothing bad... and I just felt like freakin crying.. lol.. held it in, that was an emotional moment.
Expected Clomid to be really bad then, but barely anything...

Nolva vs. Clomid

Nolva is a breast cancer drug. The only types of cancer nolva is known to increase risk of are uterine and endometrial - obviously guys don't need to worry about that. In rare cases nolva can cause blood clots, stroke and cataracts (but usually when taken in combination with chemotherapy).

Clomid is a fertility drug and is given out like tylenol at fertility clinics. There are some studies linking it with cervical, ovarian and uterine cancer - again not a problem for guys. There can be liver problems though.

Food for thought: the FDA is more likely to allow higher toxicity in a cancer drug than in a fertility drug because cancer drugs are in general fairly ineffective and the disease is very serious.
