Hey,
At the gym last night. I met this bodybuilder that told me that he uses Preparation H to tighten the skin around his abs before his comp or taking photos. Is this true? i have a photoshoot coming up soon and i was wondering if i should use this stuff?

That an old last minute panic move...if you are lean there is no need for that.

lots of people report a profound effect.

Try googling it. I think there is tons of info about it on the web.

works pretty good actually, you need the prep-h with biodyne to be effective at chasing the water out though......Biodyne is available in canada, not the USA

ive tried it but i wasnt too lean. im sure it works but you have to be low single digit BF.

ive heard for best results you have to apply every 3-4 hrs for a day before the event

also the smell doesnt get off your hands, invest in some latex gloves

I just google it. I'm getting mix reviews about it. They also recommend to only use it once a month 3-4 hours before bed time.

Forgot to ask. Has anyone had any big side effects while using it?

As ironwill said it has to be the right one. And I'm sure a ton of people have tried it with the wrong one.

Its a waste of time...its a panic move last minute because you arent lean enough. You should be lean and dry at least a week out from the show...last minute sodium/water and carb manipulation along with a diuretic will remove any sub q water left. That is a newbie last minute panic reaction...if you dieted correctly and are in shape there is absolutely no need for this kind of hocus pocus...this is akin to epsom salt baths to pull water, sodium loading the last week, combining multiple diuretic aldactone and lasix, dropping water 3 days out etc.
If you are doing these types of things you need to really rethink your overall precontest strategy.

Ah well, we arent all non-newbs..........
we are allowed to make mistakes and learn, but this time i hired a great prep guy to help me so i dont make silly mistakes.......
But the prep-h does have a cosmetic effect and does reduce water in areas where desired......

Yes that is true you are definitely allowed to make mistakes and learn that is competely your choice. I guess my point is wouldn't it be a bit easier to maybe listen to those who have already made these mistakes and learned from them so that you dont have to? This is the main reason I post on CBB is to try to assist those who are willing to listen and learn so they dont have to make the same mistakes I did thus improving and accelerating their own progress.
Cosmetic spot reduction is useless...the body will adapt very quickly and spread the remaining sub Q water throughout the body...thus eliminating any cosmetic effect. This is akin to trying to do situps to spot reduce fat.

To be honest I thought it was an old formula of prepH and wasn't even made anymore. But ironwill said the Can version has it. (?)
Thiomucase was another similar product, but was designed solely for spot reduction.

PrepH and Thiomucase How much does this stuff cost? And is this stuff really worth trying or should i just stick with my diet and cardio for now? Like i said i still have 2 months before the photo shoot

I bought that stuff a really long time ago. I ordered it from a Canadian supplement warehouse, popey`s maybe? I can`t really remember. Sorry dude. Maybe try google or if you can`t get it, use prep h. I`ve heard it actually works.
