So i'm shopping for a body fat caliper and i'm not sure which one to get
seems the AccuMeasure Body Fat Caliper 3000 is preferred

do you have a link
I've got one that I never use :)
It's a hard thing to do , lot's of practice in order to get an accurate bf reading and even then it could be off.
I don't think there would be one better than another , but maybe a digital one because you could get an exact number reading.
e-bay has some good deals .

I use a Tanita bodyfat scale at home. My strength coach uses bodyfat calipers on me. Tanita shows 3% less than what the calipers do. It's always like that. It will be pretty damn hard to measure yourself. It takes a lot of practice to get accurate readings, like Talo said.

Yeah for me its all about the reference points
so i know which direction i'm heading in as i adjust my diet etc
its not that it has to be exactly right just constant

BF calipers are a waste of time and money...not to mention there are very inaccurate. Numbers mean nothing if you look in the mirror and are not lean. The best measure of BF is the mirror or an experienced eye.
