hello all,

I'd like to thank all the members who make cbb an excellent source of information, feedback and fellowship... you all rock

what I am looking for is some suggestions as far as supplementation goes in preparation for a novice show i will be competing in next April. I want to do my first show without anabolics. its more as a personal goal than to place at the top

so what i have now is Gaspari Super Pump, Arginine, AKG, Glutamine, BCAA's, chromium, R-ALA, and for herbs, trib, maca and tong kat .

my current body weight is 227 @17%BF.. the problem is I'm 6'2. So i would like to gain muscle as well as lose body fat. I have hired a trainer for exercises and diet. PH has been suggested, but I'm not sure about the access to this stuff in Canada.. is there legal CDN products that work?

Your diet, cardio, and training will be key. None of the products you listed will help you much if any at all. I would suggest saving your hard earned money and spend it only on items that will actually help.
1. a good whey isolate protein powder
2. a good multi vitamin/multi mineral
3. omega 3 fish oil capsules
4. a good joint support
5. creatine monohydrate (Creapure)
6. coffee or caffeine tabs used sparingly..ie before training and cardio
7. stay the hell away from PH's
8. a decent test booster (must contain 6 oxo if you can still find it)
9. a decent fibre supplement - lowered carb intake can lead to constipation

FYI...you will not gain muscle while losing fat...if you can reatain all the muscle you have while dieting you are doing fantastic.

thanks for the responses.

I'm 34 and will be competing in SK novices.

my trainer indicated that keep my LBM where it is by my next testing is my goal.. as well as bringing my fat down.

so i'll be sticking to the diet as close as possible

Is your "trainer" a bodybuilding/diet coach? or is it just a trainer at the gym with a certification. there is a huge difference.

you're making assumptions...
assumptions on what?

Your asking us what things you should be including in your contest prep. No assumptions. It is fact : "some help deciding what additions I may need for competing plz"

I would agree with this bro....Ask your trainer, he should have a plan of attack for you to use while making your journey, by asking others you will be defeating the purpose of your trainer.....Maybe even hindering him if you arent telling him what you are taking....I would ask him what he thinks, and let him plot your course.....
