Why insulin AND Dextrose PW?

I was under the impression that dextrose is used for the transportation of nutrients and (rapid) replenishment of glycogen into muscle tissue.

If injecting insulin PWO does pretty much the same thing, why do both? Why are both necessary to achieve the same goal? Do they work synergistically? Why does it cause some people to store belly fat?

The belly fat results from what isn't used being converted into adipose tissue. As for insulin and dextrose, I guess you need to understand how insulin works. In this case it's similar in some ways to a young healthy male injecting testosterone. He already produces test, doesn't need more, but it makes a difference. Insulin has anabolic effects so more is better (when taken at the right time and within reason).

Consuming something like dextrose causes your body to secrete endogenous insulin (from the body). So it is exactly the same as exogenous insulin, only with the injectable kind you get more than your body would have released on it's own.

Young and healthy you don't need insulin.

i was wondering about this too, just like how body releases gh at night, when u take from synthetic source you increase the gh in the body, similar to insulin. i wonder how many iu's if you can even count it that way the dextrose would mimic if used with a shake. like just on its own how much of insulin it woyoudl yeild.

i have never used slin and i dont plan on it. i was just curious about how and why it is used.

yea dude its not the dex that does the transporting, the dex triggers the slin which is the shuttle.
