Police launch investigation after constable says he wasn't the only one abusing drugs

Peel Regional Police launched an investigation into steroid use today after a Mississauga police officer said he and other members on the force have used steroids while on the job.

Const. Roger Yeo's allegations, made known during a police hearing for a discreditable conduct charge, , prompted Peel police Chief Mike Metcalf to launch an investigation into steroid use in the force.

"Allegations made against members of this service are taken seriously, and will be investigated thoroughly," Metcalf said.

The Professional Standards bureau has been called in to investigate.

Yeo has been suspended and was charged with discreditable conduct for allegedly stalking teenage girls during the summer and early fall of 2006. is been ongoing.

I like how they mention suspended, but in most cases with police due to the contracts they get..It's usually suspended with pay until they are charged in court..So if this **** doesnt get his court date for a year or so he will be paid till charged in court...grrrrrr

Yes I agree, no honour. Many think or hope that if they cough up a couple of names they will get a nice rewards for cooperating with police, but in reality they are digging themselves into a deeper pit.

I actually know YEO. He used to be in the Army in 3 RCR. He was...past tense a good guy. He was using then as well. I have no problem with him using steroids in fact I encourage cops to use it, just so that they can get some sort of competitive edge against some of the crazies they have to deal with. However, I have issues with this guy stalking little girls....the report is missnig the fact that he used to go to the schools and hangout ini his car after work trying to lure little girls into his car. The girls told their teachers and they called PEEL who then set up a sting and lo and behold guess who they caught in the act...one of their own. Incidentally he isn't getting paid either, and All cops hate the rat. He is ****ed beyond belief and his future is ruined.

I personally think that if you are trained on and given pepper spray , a semi automatic handgun , a baton and sometimes a tazer , then gear is not needed . If you can't haul ass with that stuff then you shouldn't be a cop . This guy is a pervert and a rat .

I can see it now in the media "steroids turn cop into sex crazed animal." They'll have "experts" on Canada AM commenting on how AAS cause aggressive and sexually aggressive behavior.
