So i finaly decided to give the quads a go today and to my surprise it was the easiest shot i have ever done and with a 21g no less....lol
Side quad about 6-8 inches below my hip and did it standing up.
Used the prop that burns even when mixed and 30 minutes post inject and no burning at all.
So 150mgs of prop in the quad= Awesome;)
On the downside i tried a 21g on side delt and i kept hiting them big nerves that make the whole delt contract....NOT FUN AT ALL:(

You may even shed a tear...
99% of my quad shots are very smooth funny how some people hate them and some love them.

try jabbing into the outside tear drop (vastus laterlis) i do mine there with 25g 1 inch when i need to, flex it first to find it, and relax and jab. i do it sitting on toilet lol.

I've tried the teardrop before with a 25g and it was a no go. WAY to many nerves there for me......might as well do forearms....lol
Side glute feels like i did'nt even pin it, very cool cause as i said i used the HIGH mg prop that burns like a mofo the first few hours, but feeling nothing on side quad.
Even better the spot i used has a birthmark so i know where that same spot is....lol :D

Quads/Delts/Glutes are pretty much all painless for me. I generally stay pretty high on the outter quad or my knees get really tight for some reason. Wait till you do one standing and your leg starts spazzing out its ****ed up!

99% of all bad shots are quad shots...this is verbatim from an MD in Toronto who treats hundreds of BB specifically and who is a National level BB himself.
The amount of nerves and possible complications with quad shots is very high. Yes some will be fine but when you get a bad on and you will...it wont be fun.
There are much less nerves etc in the delts and glutes. The glutes do not have scar tissue...scar tissue is created by injections and the larger the needle the more scar tissue you will get. Stick to 25g one inch pins. 21g into the quad...I cringed when i heard that!

Well i have scar tissue in glutes, delts and side triceps because they were the only 3 muscle groups i've used over the years.
To find a good area to inject into that has minimal nerves i use a semi-dull swiss army knife and i poke around till i find a spot where i can't feel it much when i apply pressure.
This is how i find spots to inject and it's been working for me for a while now. I've seen pics of HORRABLE quad shots, but i don't know first hand how sterile there procedure was.
Im sure i won't get an infection anytime soon and if i do i have anti-biotics on hand for blood infections.
Oh i normaly use 25g 1'', but the **** at the pharmacy ****ed me over so im poking with these butterknifes for the next while....LOL;)

Haha I would advise if your doing them standing that you make sure you have something near by to grab onto in case your leg starts kicking around on its own. I almost fell down last time it happend to me lol.

Nitrous, i've tried lats, but it turns the skin red even when going deep into muscle with a 1.5'' pin.
I don't like having red patches or lumps on upper body for obvious reasons.
Danger, just like glute shots i put all my weight on the leg not being used.
I know what your talking about man, i've hit BIG nerves in my side delts that make the whole muscle contract and hell ya that ****ing makes me cringe:shock

damn.. i wish i hadn't read this. now i dont know what to do. my glutes are really starting to get irritated. my left is swollen and sore from my last shot, and has some scar tissue as well. i was gonna start doing quad shots, but now i dont know wtf to do. i shoot 2cc at a time, so i cant shoot delts... afaik there aren't any other other muscles that can handle higher volume shots.

Why can't you do 2ml in delts. Git er in there deep on the side delt and go to town bro.
Give the side quad a try, don't go IN toward the bone. Go sideways like your pointing the needle in the direction a bullet would hit your quad if you were standing up and the bullet came from your front.
Sorry....low BS right now im kinda fuzzy:(

agreed you can do 2cc's in delts.. and your lats go red thats really weird i've never heard of that.. also unless you are quite high in bodyfat you should be able to get away with a 1" for lats

if you have above average delts, 2cc's is fine.... and if you HAVE to do quads, make sure to pin nice and slow.. dont jab fast, thats just asking for trouble with quads

I push the pin in slow every time.
I did my first and only bicep shot the other month with prop, it was'nt that bad really, but it made me hold back on all lifts so not worth pinning there.

i could be suffering from a case of biggorexia.. they've actually grown quite a bit the past few months.. even still im hesitant shooting them with 2cc. shit i think im gonna have to get some shorter pins if im gonna be shooting other places than my glutes... 1.5" is too long for other places.

I've always preferred the mass in the quads, easier to absorb, that said, I'll usually do 1cc with a 1" pin & go straight to the bike to treadmill to get the blood flowing there to prevent soreness. Did hit a nerve once and it sucked, but I just changed the pin, moved the spot an inch & went for it.

I've shot as much as 3cc into my delts. No problem. I have had problems with quad shots and am also reluctant to try again.

Hey P,
I am curious as to what kinda problems you are referring to... I have done quad shots and have been fine. stay away from it since you mentioned sa while ago that complicaitons might arise..
So are you talking about infections, nerve problems, bad shots?? Anything that could result in permanent damage to the nerves?
Thanks,

shit we take muscle biopsies from vastus lateralis because there are so few nerves there...for this they cut the skin and usually the muscle fascia and then with a pencil sized needle remove a couple hundred mgs of muscle tissue..
Over the 100s of thousands of biopsies our guy has taken, he has only had 1 problem with hitting a nerve. The guy whose nerve he hit had numbness for about 3 months and then it finally resolved.

It could be from anything...but the statistics dont lie...if it was just bad gear other areas would be problematic as well and they are not...quad shots have the most complications thus with so many other areas to use why risk it.

Oh really? That's a lot... I actually attempted to do a delt shot last night, but I had a difficult time reaching... how do you guys do it?
I just sit with my pinning arm resting in front b/t my legs and pin my lateral delt head. I have problems pinning glutes, my sides cramp up.
