I believe that you are going to have to get tested to get the upper hand here.

Firstly, keep your cool. Don't spazz at anyone or they will say you roid raged again.
Second, How can you be suspended for using roids? Lol, without proof on top of that.
This sounds like complete bull shit to me.
What kinda of work do you do?

Thats discrimination and you can sue, do you have a Union there? Maybe contact an attorney, thats ****ed up! I hope the best for you.
What kind of work if you dont mind me asking?

****'em, not being out of line but I'd be proud to be called a juicer when I was natty, good for you girl, and I think that should be harassment/discrimination...no?

What you do with your own spare time is none of you boss's business and he has absolutely no right to tell you to limit your workouts or accuse you of using steroids. Those women were being typical vindictive bitches and your boss can't do anything about it. If he tries to fire you, you can sue for wrongful dismissal.
I'd start with filing a complaint against your boss. He acted inappropriately.

The suspension should be for the behaviour not for your alleged use of a recreational drug. If I was in your position I would take the time to do some blood work tomorrow. That way the date on the blood test will be a day after the incident leaving little time for anyone to speculate that your not clean when you show them the results.
Document everything that has occurred prior to and leading up to the incident. Document all the things that your supervisor said to you. This problem may take months to solve.
Depending on what you do you have some options. Some will be more drastic than others. Or you can just take the punishment and provide the test results asking to have this removed from your record.

You should suggest to your supervisor that its none of his business what you do outside of work and if you wanted to workout for every minute that they werent paying you that is your right. They cannot drug test you in Canada for a job. Also, I think this is the first case of me hearing about a female who had roid rage so you might be in the guiness book of world records for that. The only time I experienced any type of "rage" when I have used roids was one time when I was drunk and I was on Tren at the time which is the worst steroid for mood exaggerations. Anyways, some guy punched me in the face and I really went overboard on hurting him whereas if I was normal I would have just stopped after he was on the ground not moving.

This is a matter that should ideally be dealt with by your union. They and their legal advisors know the details of your collective agreement. I don't specialize in labour law, but I would advise you to stop discussing this matter on an open forum. Wait for your union to respond.

I've delt with this and generally speaking ANY accusation of drug use at work will lead to being suspended immediatly with pay until they investigate. The above post regarding not taking about this stuff in public is a good idea, if news of this hits the media (unlikly) your chances of getting railroaded SKYROCKET I would not even mention this to co-workers or friends you dont trust 100%.
Im betting your a CUPE member so start calling them and make sure you have a business agent at ANY METTING with ANYONE in mangement, even if you like the manager DO NOT TALK TO ANYONE ALONE EVER! In fact even in the meeting avoid talking as much as possible give only yes/no anwsers unless directed by the business agent.
Also WRITE EVERYTHING DOWN, like right this min grab some paper and write down exactly what happend every little detail helps. Also anytime anyone from your employer calls/emails or even talks to you WRITE IT DOWN!!! dates/times/names and what they said. The more paper you have the better. You should also contact your shop stewart and make sure they know about this, who knows they might overhear something ect that could help you.

Ouch... absolutly do not put anything in writing without your business agent there. Also make a point of letting you business agent know that they took your statment already... mention feeling pressured/coerced into it if you feel that you were at the time.
The first thing your BA should do is file a request under the freedom of information act so that you can see EVERY single peice of paper your employer has with your name on it or even related to this situation... this should include any inter office emails, memos and even messages sent/received on company phones/blackberries (you will be surprised when you get the package, most supervisors do not realize you can access this info) do not let you BA get away with being lazy you really have to ride these guys!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune D. The guys have given some pretty good advice here. Those accusations are pretty serious and will have repercussions for both sides. Working for the public sector has a different set of rules. But that is what your union is there for.
It's sad to see people stereotype bodybuilders whether it's a man or woman. Even more so when it is done at work. Getting reprimanded for losing your cool is one thing, being accused of taking steroids and having a roid rage is a totally different beast altogether.
Good luck on all this. We're all behind you. Let us know how it turns out. Being a bb forum, I'm sure this scenario has happened before and will happen again just because you have a passion for training. Imagine you were on low carbs dieting for a show? They couldn't even fathom what one feels like on low carbs for an extended period of time.

I will also confirm that this is true. Canada's laws are a little different than the states. In the US you can get mostly anyone's info. In Canada it is mostly only you that has the right to your personal info "anytime" under our laws. I recently did some research on this. Your BA should know these laws and how to use them. It's all available on the gov'ts websites.

DUDE !
NEVER EVER EVER talk to management with out a union rep/shop Stewart. Also, don't record anything. It can't be used .. We just had a situation similar to this happen at my work and he actually got in more trouble for recording. It violates the people you are recordings rights. You can only record and use it if the people you are talking to are informed. If you do record it, make sure you have the " I am recording this meeting " Recorded.

In the meetings my BA always brought in someone to take notes while they talked, dont record phone conversations just keep a "journal" trust me it makes the BA's job easier and it helps you remember all the important dates/times so when you speak you do so accurately, if your accuser cannot do the same it takes alot of wind out of their sails especially if they start spitting out incorrect dates and times which is likly since generally the process takes alot of time you'll be surprised what kind of details you can forget if you dont write things down. Do everything you can to keep your story consistant!!!

UPDATE!
reinstated as of tomorrow... an appology has been given to me for "crossing the line" with a steroid accusation and a mention of an "addiction" without any grounds for the two comments. My suspension stands (1 day) for "inappropriate conduct while in uniform"... I'll own that. I did tell the ladies thier policy was bullshit and I should have held my temper. Union dug a bit and 3 other employees have had situations with the same department that put the complaint against me... so hopefully, the health and wellness committee can look at the entire hisroty between the two departments and make some positive change!
Feeling pretty ok about the whole thing... again, thanks everyone for the great advice and support!!

Ummm i hope your planning on taking further action with this. Cmon this is TOTAL BULLSHIT and 100% slander.
Like i said before there are a bunch of male bus drivers that are ****ing HUGE and totaly on juice and NOTHING happens to them yet you get suspended even though your natty and for a woman you normal size not BB huge.
Talk to a lawer and see if you have grounds to get damages for slader against you. I think you should get a years pay out of this at LEAST.
I would NOT let this just go away all quiet like cause down the road people will always question you and talk shit so you might as well make a huge stink about it and make it ****ING CLEAR you are NOT to be ****ed with and you are NOT a pushover.
Honestly **** there shit up, bus drivers put up with enough shit as it is already.

That's great news! I think the manager should he disciplined for harassment or discrimintation (assuming that you're juicing because you're fit). It's up to you what you want to do but having a manager who jumps to such conclusions and makes erractic decisions should learn something from this the hard way.

Slander is the uttering of words to others that harm the reputation of the individual being discussed.

I thought the use of steroids was not illegal in Canada? So how can he suspend you when you didn`t break any laws. Seems to me he`s judging you on what he "thinks" is right. I hope he ends up paying heavily for what he did to you.

Not sure of all the particulars but I'd still pursue this somewhat, depending on how thorough you wish to be. Suing aside, which could be a very real consideration on your part, I'd be looking at the very least to have disciplinary action taken against your accuser. I've been in situations where those in authority have taken HUGE liberties in their allegations against those who work under them or have even done things for which they have never been held accountable. I've found that you may have to keep the pressure up (or through the union) to have a formal complaint issued or put in the accuser's record. I've seen how many times the 'process' fails to follow through or protects it's own or even just tries to wait it out so the whole process is just simply forgotten. If you're thinking to see where this goes, asked to be informed of how things are proceeding in the disciplinary procedure.
It's up to you, but as you've mentioned, there have been other complaints by other people. This seems to be an ongoing problem that won't be dealt with unless things change.
