I've used it a couple of times. Be careful at a large dose you will experience
something close to speed. Not something I want to take every day ...Still have a bottle I orderred a year ago. Shit warms you up and gets you speedy.

From wikipedia...

It is sometimes used off-label to treat narcolepsy and as a nootropic, as well as for its published life-extending effects among several species of mammals. It is also reported to positively affect libido, particularly in older males.[citation needed] As of February 28, 2006, selegiline has also been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to treat major depression using a transdermal patch (Emsam Patch).[2] Selegiline is also used (at extremely high dosages relative to humans) in veterinary medicine to treat the symptoms of Cushing's disease and so-called "cognitive dysfunction" in dogs.[citation needed] As of June 26, 2006, a selegiline transdermal patch is being tested for its effectiveness in treating ADHD.[citation needed]

Several clinical studies are currently underway to evaluate Selegiline's effectiveness in helping people stop smoking tobacco or marijuana.[3][4]

I read on another board more than one user reporting nothing but a head fog.

I have some experience with this one. It's a smart drug (mao B inhibitor) that increases dopamine levels by decreasing its beakdown.

The supposed use in bodybuilding would be, that like most dopaminergics it increases GH levels. There seems to be circumstancial evidence for decreasing cortisol, too.

I can't say that I noticed any difference in body composition with long term low dose therapy. I just don't think it's very potent in that regard. Maybe it could add to a combination, but I've not tried it.

There is some good news for some, though. At high doses it loses it's selectivity for MAO B and inhibits MAO altogether. It then becomes a stimulant, not unlike cocaine. If someone were burned out on the usual gamut of fat burners, this could kick the heat back on.

It can only be used intermittently, though. The effects attenuate rapidly (also like cocaine...so I'm told), and if you escalate to get to the same point...well everything just sucks when you go off.

So it could be added to the diet/intensity arsenal if done smartly.
