I was wondering if they like it and more specifically the "EDGE" GSM quand band internet access. How does this feature/service work?
Is it a fast connection?
You can download songsfor the mp3 player over the "EDGE" connection.
Would it be worth it though?

I have a Krazor but never use the internet. Personally I think the KRZR was designed poorly and his difficult to navigate.

krzr is one of the best phones I've ever had for voice quality [in and out] but data on Rogers/FIDO [edge] sucks. It is ok for email and emergencies.
Are you tied in to GSM? I have a KRZR that I'd give you for assuming my Bell contract... terms are unbelievably good
200 daytime minutes
unlimited calls at night from 6pm-8am
free call display
free voicemail
20 unlimited calls to any 1 phone number [register the # with Bell]
$30/m + tax [including system access and other crappy fees]

Every Motorola I've ever owned has sucked. Sony Ericcsons have always been good to me.
Yeah you can mobile browse/ download on your gsm (fido/rogers) with edge (decent speeds to 70-135kbps). If you get a cdma phone (bell/ telus) you get evdo which is 300-700kbps. Have fun paying for it tho, the lack of mobile carrier competition in Canada results in outrageous data plans. i remember reading about one bell customer with an 80 some thousand dollar bill (he used his phone as a modem to dl movies).

agreed that motorola phones are hit and miss. krzr happens to be a big hit and I'm still partly tempted to keep mine for the kick ass plan it's got. I've never seen a bad sony
I'm going my radio ads I've heard but doesn't Bell have an unlimited email/web plan they just launched?

yeah but it's not a data plan, its like 7$/month for unlimited browsing (too bad cdma sucks). This dude hooked it up to his computer to download shit.

Bell must be different from Rogers then... with Rogers you can use any plan or add-on that includes anything to do with web, email or any other type of data interchangibly [except Blackberry]. Best case I've seen so far is 1GB for $65... it's only supposed to be used for wireless pc cards but they will add it to a phone if you ask nicely [and/or insist]. It was also fun to cancel my data plan [$35 for 7MB I think] so that I could use the one sold for krzr type phones at $10/10MB.
I do miss the higher bandwidth with Bell.
