I have two buddies who got gynecomastia removed, they both told me they didnt pay for it. Is it covered by OHIP, in Ontario? Both were steroid induced and they just got it done..
I googled it and it seemed everywhere i looked it said it costed money...
Anyone have insight

Alberta is covered 100%
It will be covered if you explain to your doctor that you've had it since puberty and that it has become painful, disrupting your sleep, etc. Thus a medically necessary procedure and not cosmetic. You will be operated on by an OHIP accepted surgeon, not a private plastic surgeon of your choice. Any cosmetic work such as lipo will not be covered.

the doc asked a bro of mine, "Off the record, has this been induced because of any illegal substances?"
So dont get shocked if they ask you something like that. Say what pdh said about the puberty thing.
When the gland is removed it leaves a pocket, often filled with fat and flabby, stretched skin. Lipo helps with aesthetics. Be prepared for drain tubes and a compression vest as well.

what is drain tubes
Tubes sticking out of the incision to allow the fluid build up to drain and heal properly.

sounds awful
sounds awful
That's why I passed on it. Everyone tells me my gyno is not even noticeable, so it wasn't worth all the pain and down time.

Do you think most pros get the surgery done?

Do you think most pros get the surgery done?
Yes. A lot of them opt to have the glandular tissue completely or near completely removed. This can leave a depression and some irregularity, so a good cosmetic surgeon is paramount. There are some renowned surgeons who've performed thousands of operations on bodybuilders with steroid induced gynecomastia so there's no concern that you'll look any worse than you did before. These guys do great jobs and have before and after pics on their websites.
Please be advised that drains are not always necessary, it's individual. This is something that needs to be discussed with a surgeon. I've never met anyone who's needed drains. A friend of mine got his surgery done in Korea for a little over a grand. The surgeon was also kind enough to perform some minor restructuring and liposuction which was not covered in the fee. So my friend was pumped. Plastic surgeons are found on every street corner there. Women get their eyelids and noses done. I'm sure the surgeon was relieved to do a procedure out of the norm!
I've considered this in the past but I live in BC. Our MSP covers the excision of gynecomastia tissue, but nothing in the realm of "cosmetic" surgery. Like others said, focus on the medical side of things. You have a legitimate MEDICAL concern, you feel pain and discomfort, your gyno impedes regular daily activities, sleep is messed up, sexual intercourse is interrupted, etc. Don't say that bitches don't dig your gyno when you're trying to score pussy on the beach or anything that'll make the doctor thing you're a meat head. Do some research before going in so that they'll respect you and give you all the green lights.
I fortunately found some legit cabergoline after a long time of searching and it nearly eliminated my gyno. There's slight puffing from not using any AIs to see just how much estrogen I can have circulating without exacerbating my gyno. I basically have NO gyno. I can feel the glands which is normal but nothing like it was before. I highly recommend getting blood work done before getting the surgery. It can be rough, but letro also does a great job and can shrink most "gyno" to virtually nothing. Even hard, glandular tissue has the potential of atrophying in the absence of estrogen. Try it out and see how it goes. A couple hundred is better than a couple thousand and surgery. Weigh out your options and best of luck to everyone and anyone who's got gyno.

Its covered 100% in Alberta, chances are your Dr. has no clue who to refer you too for this so I would just call the plastic surgeon and book an appointment and have a consultation done first.

Hey bro. Did you run the caber on cycle or off to reduce the gyno? And what dosage and length did you use?

My surgeon took very little convincing I assume most any male physician who has treated this before understands how it can affect your life; you shouldnt have to lay out too much of a sad story.
Also make sure you find someone who has done the procedure before, if your interested toss me and PM and I can help you out further.

Hey bro. Did you run the caber on cycle or off to reduce the gyno? And what dosage and length did you use?
I ran it during the last 4 weeks or so. I even have a bit of lactation off cycle too. Blasting letro reduced the size but did nothing for the lactation. I could feel it spurting out at work when walking around, even after trimming down into the single digit bf range.
I'm still on test though. Test raises my prolactin too. Not by much, but a good amount. I have no more lactation and virtually no gyno. If I don't run AIs or bloat, I can see my nipple begin to purse slightly when I slouch my shoulder down. Other than that, you can't see shit unless you're looking for it at the proper angle under perfect lighting. So I'm damn pleased. The caber was expensive but WELL worth it.
Nothing feels better than being gyno free. It may be cocky of me, but I went out and ordered a ton of deca. I'm going to cut a little more and cruise on test, then blast some deca and just run caber.

I am supposed to a surgeon next month to discuss surgery.
One of Canada's best surgeons so I am going to trust her judgement because I have had gyno only in the right side since I was about 16.

It's worth a shot, bro. Even blasting huge amounts of letro did nothing for mine. So thankful that it's gone.
Gonna keep taking some l-dopa supplements just to be on the safe side. Lemme know if you have the same sort of success that I did! Having fun with the tren?

Hey bongd did you mention dosages I missed it
Just half a tab for a few days to kickstart things, then just EOD for a couple more weeks. After the first dose my nipple pain went away, then the next day it was reduced in volume over 90%.
My nipples had gotten so painful before the tren that my fiance wouldn't touch them. She'd bump into me in bed and I would literally scream. I have a high tolerance for pain but this was some sore ass shit.
It's about two months later and no cabergoline anymore. No sore nipples and no swelling. Was back to 1mg of arimidex ED, then EOD, now just some aromasin EOD. I've gone a few days without any AIs and I cannot find any pain or swelling which is awesome.
Estrogen and pseudo-gyno was a nightmare. I thought that the hard glands meant the end of my battle but I was not defeated lol :lick
I'm a little overweight over the last few years and it is slight fat that she sees...if it were gyno it would hurt....right?
My gyno doesn't hurt, it's just a hard lump which I've had since I was 11. Occasionally I need Nolva on cycle to keep it in check, but it never hurts. However, if you want your surgery covered, you must explain to your Doc that it does hurt.

Yeah, Nolva only seems to stop it from getting any larger, and adex seems to do the same, but nothings been able to reduce the current size.
LOL, I shoudl really feel it soon. Should be interesting.

I had gyno since puberty. I had the surgery and would recomend it to anyone. There is one surgeon in Calgary who does 5 gyno surgeries a week. Go to your family doc and say owie my man boobs hurt. He will refer you to a plastic surgeon. My doc didnt give a shit if I juiced or not. He didnt even ask me. Anyone in alberta want his name pm me. He did a great job.

i got gyno sugery about 3 years ago in bc, told my doc that i had it since puberty and that it was interfering with my everyday life. he just sent me to a specialist who asked if i used steroids i said "no, just protein shakes", he laughed even though he knew (i was 250lb jacked). Had to wait like 6 months to get it done but it was worth it. oh yea, and the drain tubes werent fun. but the end result is great no scars or anything.

Yeah I suspect we had the same doc, if I remember correctly he actually teaches plastic surgery to other doctors. He had one of his students watching while he preformed my surgery, and his work was flawless you cant even see a mark now. :yeah

I love when people look at the popping traps, shoulders and arms and ask "are you ON anything"... I just wave for them to move closer and whisper that I'm taking a little bit of creatine and whey protein here and there. ;)
The look on their face is priceless. Especially if you're wearing form fitting clothing and busting out the seams. :D
