Adding to someones reputation.

I can add reputation to a post, but I want to add rep to a member who recently helped me out with something. Can anyone help me with this?

Without a hack installed, you cannot give reputation directly to a member. You have to give it in a post.

I just hit you up with some good green so you'll have more to give around when you give it.

This has always confused me. How do i know when i have enough green to give out? If i don't have enough green i end up giveing gray, right?
