I am going away for the weekend. Need to do 1 shot. Will it be okay to load a pin and have it stored for two days?

yup, as long as it isnt ethyl oleate base, it will degrade black rubber in syringe. The barrel is pretty safe, but ive heard it can be compromised as well, its the damn rubber at bottom for sure..they use buna, or butyl rubber in syringes which doesnt fare well with some oils and chemicals, i wish they used viton for rubber in syringes, usually a red color, then there would be no issue..I loaded a syringe with EO once and it looked like jelly after a couple of days.....:D

could you explain more ^
What do you mean bro.....??
if i am getting your question....There are different kinds of rubbers out there...Think of an engine or transmission (mechanical guy, my best analogy here) some oils usually synthetic cant be used in old differentials, engines, and trannies becuse the seals are made of buna rubber which turn to gel with synthetic and some mineral oils....Now newer vehicles and bikes mostly come with viton seals, therefore you can use differnt lubes with out gelling your seals and leaking all over....
Condoms are safe with some lubes, but petroleum jelly, or vaseline will turn them to mush....for you sexual analogists....lol

BUT, you do if it is EO, take my word for it, or inject the poisons that cometh.......
I wouldnt do it unless it is grapeseed, or cotton seed etc...EO, definitely not...

i looked in some veterinary and medical literature sites....Found this on several of them, just wanted to be sure i wasnt talkin out my a-hole.......lol
However, arachis oil and cottonseed oil do not provide a solution having at least a 1% w/v concentration of compound I, as is generally required for a veterinary product. Veterinary formulations are commonly used or stored on farms at low temperatures, down to 4° C. or even lower, and even if the avermectin is sufficiently soluble in the oil at normal room temperature it may precipitate or form a supersaturated solution, on exposure to cold conditions and thus become unusable.
Also intersting is Pure ethyl oleate, and mixtures of oils containing a major proportion of ethyl oleate, attack certain plastics or rubber components of commonly used veterinary syringes to an unacceptable extent.

Generally speaking (and bearing all the warnings composed by Ironwill in mind about plastics & oils), I agree with this. I have taken loaded syringes on vacation with me more than once, up to 12, and they have done their dirty work just fine when I got to injecting them.
But maybe I just had the right oils and good plastic or rubber.
