I just picked up their Exercise Index Squat-Deadlift DVD. So far it's a great DVD - I'm working my way through it now. I have one problem though. The DVD was shipped via UPS. I live in Canada. UPS charged me a brokerage fee of about $35 - the DVD cost $54.95. This is crazy! EliteFTS needs to change their method of shipping to Canada. I would have been happy to receive it via Pony Express. Sadly, I know that I will not be ordering more products from EliteFTS until this matter is resolved.

Did you ship express? If you do the overnight shipping the brokerage fee is already included. I have called Elite FTS and I am sure if you raise your concern they might change something around.
UPS is epic fail though

USPS is the way to go if you can :)

I picked the cheapest method. Like I said I would have waited 4 weeks - there was no rush. I got the extra charge when UPS came to my door. I wasn't hit like this when I ordered DVDs through BB.com. There has to be a better way.

That broker fee bullshit is just bullshit. Biotest makes you pay that when you order from them. I did that once...

I have the same issue with them . I've boughten a few t-shirts and sweatshirts , but only when they are on sale. $5 t's , $9 hoddies......But always get hit hard at the door.

I'm going to write them a not asking about shipping and if they can change it or add USPS.

Its the Canadian way to get raped up the ass with taxes on everything. We just smile and accept it. Heaven forbid we get to keep any of our money and actually re-invest into the economy....

I rarely order things outside of Canada because its not even worth it.

I love Elitefts, I mean love them. Bobbyorr is in the final stages of becoming a sponsored lifter, it's my dream to be sponsored as well...

But... the shipping charges are brutal... no 2 ways about it... it's not just elite tho.. You always get the duty charge when ordering from the States, just have to find a way to get around the brokerage fees.

It's really shitty that happened to you Sean... I'm not sure what to say because I love them so much... but, it still really sucks.

UPS should be brought up on fraud/theft/blackmail/extortion charges for what they do to people. Flat out criminal.

I think just about everyone has to learn the hard way dealing with those ass-bandits. I know I sure avoid them now when dealing with across the border shipping after I got reamed by their BS brokerage fees when I ordered a projector. $140!!!!!!!

Feels like you got robbed no doubt. USPS is still a hit and miss, it's not checked as often, but if they can tax you they will.

Never have anything shipped UPS or FedEx ground unless you have an account. You do have the right to refuses paying and getting the customs papers and clearing it yourself. Stick to the post office.

I love free trade so when I am in charge Canada is going to become 100% duty and import free. Why should I have to pay an import duty on something cheaper from the USA? I could not care less about supporting a "fellow Canadian" if it is some spoiled quebec dairy farmer who votes BQ.

My story with UPS, true story btw.

I bought 2 of the same things but different in size. Small metal tables. The bigger one was about 3 times the size of the smaller one and heavier and more expensive. They were ordered separate but I paid more ups fees on the smaller table than the bigger one. That was the last time I used UPS.
