Greg was a cool guy..Met him numerous times, parties, the bar. gym. at the race track..he even tried picking up my girlfriend a few times....lol...I have always been a huge open wheel fan and was a Players Racing Fan since day one..Players Racing only had drivers from Canada on their team..I think "JV" Jacques Villeneuve was the first Canadian driver, then when Local boy Greg made the team after JV went to F1.. That was Very Cool..watched every race Graig was in even that one ten years ago..I can still see that crash in my head..I can honestly say that was the first time in my life I shedded a tear for a athlete..My racing hero, local guy..I named my Dog I picked up after Greg died Penske cause that was the team Greg signed on to drive for days before he died..thats also why my forum name is CHAMPCAR99...very sad...

Brutal crash...I felt terrible when he died. The guy was a great spokesman for the sport, he was definitely going places. Great person and a great driver.

Seems like the great race car drivers go too young. Fortunately deaths have been rare in the past decade but we still lost some great people like Dale Sr.
