Anyone follow CJFL football? The 10-0 VI Raiders are playing the 7-3 South Surrey Rams tomorrow at Caledonia Park at 1:00 Pm. The last time these two teams met it was a lopsided 64-0 win for the Raiders.
I have two possible outcomes rolling around in my head. It is either going to be really close or it will be like last time.
Anyone else care to chime in?

Well if anyone cares the score was 50-14 for the VI Raiders. They will play the Edmonton Wildcats on the 14th in the Canada bowl

This should be a good game, rematch from a few years back. Andrew Harris is a stud plain and simple but the Raiders really havent been pushed all that often this season and the Cats have played good football as of late. All in all, Raiders by 10 I'd say.

Are their any Alberta guys who can shed some light on the Wildcats. I don't really know anything about them. This is the first year I have paid attention to junior ball.

I dont follow CJFL but a couple of guys from the Wildcats workout at the same time I do and I end up talking to them a fair bit since they are really the only other people I ever see deep squat or deadlift.

Wildcats have a solid ass defense, Matt Lalande has turned into a solid LB for the Cats and played a great game against the Sooners to get them to the big game. Andy Pilon is a good QB, controls the game well and seems to have fairly good decision making skills.
I just really dont know if the Cats have come up against a back like Harris though, having said that I think that the Raiders are smart enough to realize that all eyes will be on Harris and they will utilize other weapons....
It's funny, I havent heard as much this year about the whole debat between the BCFC and the PFC as there usually is. The argument being that the BCFC is a weaker conference due to having so many teams with athletes that probably are not CJFL caliber players. On the flip side of the coin, CJFL football in Alberta used to be, and to some degree still is a political game and when it comes to selection of rosters, its all about who you head coach was and where you went to school.
Either way this should be a great game!

Well it was a blow out. 51-14 both scores for the other team came off of huge turnovers in the redzone. The cats didnt really put together a solid drive the whole game, they had a limited success in the 4th quarter. Their QB was a stud and they had a couple of good receivers. All in all I have to say that the game could have been a lot closer the Cats are a great football team but when the raiders start to roll they roll.

Snoop has created a tremendous program out in Nanaimo. The team operates on probably the largest budget in the CJFL and makes it a place where players want to come and play, much like the Hilltops and Sun a few years back...
CJFL is great football to watch and really provides an excellent opportunity and stepping stone for players.
