View Full Version : Painless lump - gyno?

There's a painless hard lump about the size of a ball bearing near my right nipple - it's not behind the nipple, its actually about 1cm down. Is this gyno?

I had a smaller lump in the same position which was checked by mammogram and ultrasound about 6 months ago but nothing was visible even though my doc, and the radiologist could both feel the lump there. Bi-lateral gynocomastia was noted on the radiology report (although must be a very mild case because you can't really see it). I have no lumps like this in the other nipple.

Just wondering if this is likely gyno, or something more worrisome like a cyst, or tumour?

I have been taking 0.5mg Adex for several weeks now, just increased to 1mg. I have letrozole available - should I switch on to that?

My point was that while bi-lateral gyno was noted, there is only this kind of lump on one side.

UG adex.
Yes, test deca var.

i would start with some letro....
perhaps you need Dostinex.

did you have it prior to this cycle?

Yes, was there prior, but smaller. Noticed it during last PCT

i would have tried to get rid of it (with letro) prior to starting another cycle...
in anycase you can probably use letro now to mimimize it or atleast control it.

agree with the boss... you might have prolactin sides.

dostinex

note - deca just started about 1 week ago. cycle has been going 8 weeks with just test var prior to that.

well... somewhat... used their gear with no problems... letro is from them. however, I just switched to a different "brand" of adex at 1mg.

Is a little ball bearing shaped / sized lump symptomatic of gyno? I always though gyno was puffyness with possibly rubbery thickening under the nipple.

and lumps. its likely gyno. dont panic and start popping all sorts of pills though.

I have the exact same thing... both sides. I had the mammogram a few years ago and they said it wasn't gyno. I've had it for years, and still don't know wtf it is. Some of it could very well be fatty deposits, so I'm hoping when I've leaned out the last little bit it will disappear.

OP, what's your BF % like?

3 years later and this lump is back, but painful now. Been about 18 months since last cycle, noticed slightly painful lump about 5 months ago below nipple. Basically the same as before but now its uncomfortable to lie on my stomach, put on backpack straps, etc.

Any ideas? Doc says not gyno - ultrasound sees nothing basically (no cyst). Its bugging the s#¡t out of me - holding off next cycle...

I have something similar....I used to play a lot of contact sports....i had a puck nail me below my nipple, it created a cyst, that flares up and down...It fills with fluid now and then, when it is full, it hurts like a bugger, exactly as described...
It is scar tissue, that fills with fluid and then drains, if it plugs it fills and gets painfull...Not related at all to AAs, but related to being touched and aggravated...It feels like a lumpy mass, smallish, about the size of a piece of trident chewed up in a ball, a little uneven around the edges, not a circular mass..
I had it checked out a few times, i also have one on my side from a bad car accident yrs ago, again, hurts when swolen...The docs can remove it, but it is not a threat....
Sounds like what you may have...

^^^ If it was gyno it would be behind your nipple as gyno is an enlargement of the gland(s) behind the nipples.

I am aware of that, hence why i said it is scar tissue formed around a lymph node not gyno......

I have used nothing in the past 18 months. Last cycle (test only 500mg per week x 12 weeks) ended 18 months ago.

Sounds similar - I noticed this first when doing bench press. Sometimes the bar gets too low and hits my chest. But, it doesn't really go away. I notice it when I lie on my stomach/chest. Might be it though doctor ran ultrasound , which didn't see a cyst or really anything ... Maybe scar tissue.
