One of the reasons I love winter so much, no bugs!
But I'd take a big ol' Athabascan horse fly or mosquito over that any day

x3 A couple years ago when I as in Australia. Went for a hike and in the tree was some spider, forget the name, but apparently birds die in its web.... It was probably as long from my elbow to the tip of my fingers, thing was HUGE. I wasnt even that close cause I was scared it was going to jump on my face, so this picture does not do justice

I don't much like spiders. I have an automatic repulsion to them for some reason. Don't even like looking at their pictures. I came across one of these in Southern Ontario once:

yeah, real cute... id love to glue a chain to its ass and where it as a live pendant.

a friend of mine lives in australia and he posted a pic on facebook of one of those spiders in the original post.. was in his livingroom. creeps me the **** out. no way i could live with those things in my home.... i hear BC has its fair share of big ass spiders too.

In Australia, they come out at night like rats. YOu go to sleep, then the ****ing spiders start to crawl around. You could have one of those big hairy ugly cat eating mother****ers on your face and not even know it.

i don't mind spiders...but those "house centipede" things are creepy as hell! ever had one crawl up your leg? i've heard pre-pubescent girls with lower shrieks than the shit i came up with! hahaha

when i was in costa rica there were lizards crawling around in our room...and when you turn the lights on and off and see no lizard anymore...it's tough to get sleep.

and TS thought they were a pussy?! haha

Guys next time you are in Australia or Florida or somewhere with big spiders, shine a flashlight on the grass at night and ALL off the reflective little circles are spiders eyes... they are EVERYWHERE you just cant see them ;) And yes, they are all looking at you, its creepy!

I have caught some big ole fuggers by using this technique, learned it from shrimping in the florida keys.

I seriously want to photoshop a pair of legs sticking out from under the web in the first pic. I think wade would be super creeped out by that :D

this beast was outside our room one night in Mexico. I was gonna step on it but the prick was big enough that I did not know if my size 10 sandal would squish him or not. Pic does not do him justice he was the size of my fist.

Yeah 12" tiles sounds about right the ****er was about 3-4" big. Mrs M named him Teddy the tarantula. She wouldn't leave the room without searching for him first.

One of the biggest spiders I have ever seen in real life came up from underneath my buddies dock and ran right towards me while I was cleaning out his canoe.

This was on Butterfly lake in (not very) Northern Ontario.

Funniest part was, my gf came in like a champ and squished it with an ore like it was nothing. Shes a SERIOUS princess too, if you know what I mean, and it was so out of character for her to take charge and kill this huge MOFO.

It was not much smaller than the pic of that tarantula on the tile in Mexico. Im not kidding. This Wolf / Dock spider was ****ING SERIOUS.

Ya the camel spiders are big and there is a fair amount of them in the desert but a lot of the things that are said about them are not true.
