Weird pill bottle in locker room, what was it?

I was changing after a workout yesterday and someone left a white pill bottle on the bench in the change room that had the label ripped off.

I shook it, and it was full. So being curious i pulled the cap to see what was in it. It had white/smokey looking crystals in it that smelled kinda like ammonia...

Question, was it just ammonia crystals or someone popping something weird pre work out?

It was probably smelling salts used to get pumped for a set.

I didnt take them, i threw the bottle into a locker that people put their trash into.

The crystals resembled rock salt and they were all stuck together, so I can imagine "smell salt" being what they're called.

When you smelled it, did it hit you like a punch in the face? An entire bottle of smelling salts would knock you into next week if you smelled it close up.

Guys use them for hockey in between shifts.

I dont think it was smelling salts if it didnt phase you at all....

My face was about 1' from the bottle and it was strong, my eyes watered.

I've used pure ammonia to remove window tint before and it was strong like that. I would imagine a close up sniff would be like a punch in the face.

The only thing sketch was that the label was pealed off, and there was a cotton wad covering the rocks. Weird either way. I thought it was meth when I first saw it, but I've never actually seen meth before.

It was prolly a bottle full of kidney stones. You shoulda kept it as a calcium supplement.
