I`ve been deadlifting for the last 3 weeks. Couldn`t do them for a long time due to injuries. Gotta love the results. Somebody already noticed I`m looking thicker which is cool to hear. But man I feel tired the day I do them. I`ve been yauning all night, not just that, but I feel so restless. It`s been so long since I`ve done them I forget if this is normal, lol! Just wondering if you guys get this as well?
When I go heavy on them , I sure do feel it. Very taxing on the CNS.

I`m doing them on leg day, near the end of my workout after doing front squats. But gotta say, I`m doing these with a vengance and can see myself adding 5-10lbs a week for the next while. No other exercise makes me feel as jacked as these! My posture is tip top and you can just feel your back and legs getting thicker.

Gotta love the 5min where you cant breathe after a good heavy set! I always sleep like a baby after deadlifts gotta love it.

I would back off the deads. Body gets used to heavy weights quick and after 3 workouts at 90% or above the body will become weaker. That is why you must rotate max effort work continually in the conjugate system.

Since I`m just getting back into deads, I`m doing sets of 10. But I definetly agree with what you said ^^^ Would even say that`s true for most excercises!
I don't think you have to back off the deads , but maybe don't leave them for the end of your workout . Try doing them first and maybe not on the same day as squatting.
I agree with Bowlcut , in you should do more than 2-3 workouts above 90%.
Mine is :
week 1 85%
week 2 90%
week 3 95%
week 4 60%
repeat

I just find they hit the legs alot and will limit how fresh your legs are on your actual leg day. Another reason is I have a day just for back thickness. So the back thickness I get from deads is more overall back thickness stimulus! The other reason is the fact I`m standing all night on weekends. My leg work is done early in the week. I would be a bitch to be standing all night the day of, or even worse the day after a leg workout, or if you do them with back, back workout that includes deads...
Hope I`m not being a pussy by saying that! But I did them the way you say for many years, so I`m not against it really. But also wasen`t standing on the weekends... I do them at the end because they tire me out and feel the other lifts will suffer. But at one point for variety, they will be placed first...
