well with halloween just around the corner lets see some halloween costume. heres some of my silicone mask and costume from the last couple years. every mask exept the old man is made by myself. they are made in silicone so someone can talk drink and moves with the face. A lot of trouble to make but i think its worth it annyways here it goes.

That's amazing.

Do you do work for others (if so what's your price )or is this just a hobby for yourself ?

thanks guys and girls:greet i have been doing this kid of stuff for like more then 15 years. i have learned by myself with books and dvd. to make those someone needs to be a good sculptor, mold maker and painter. one complete silicone mask takes me about 6 months to do since its only a hobby.i need to first sculpt what i want in oil base clay over a generic lifecast wich is extensively modified in certain area like mouth and eyes(sculpting is the longest part) then i make a negative 2 part mold over that wich then i have to demols and clean and then fabricate everything on that mold so that silicone can be injected in the mold using a verry verry large serynge that contain like half a galon of special silicone.then demold time wish the flashing that needs to be cut away and filled in and then painting time wich probably take 1 full day by itself annyways that was a fast really fast explanation of the verry time consuming process:fwave

Does the silicon have to be poured into a mold? i wonder why you couldnt just make a mold of your head and make the mask right on the mold and peal it off when its dry?

the silicone these mask are made of is like corn syrop consistency so how couls someone just freeform a mask using this stuff????someone needs to have a lifecast then sculpt the mask in clay over it.once satisfied a mols is made over that clay sculpt.once demolded you clean of the clay so you are left with a gap between the lifecast and the outer mold so that gap must be then filled with silicone. ill show you some pics.
heres some pics of the clay sclupture on the lifecast

Thats incredible.... do your ears actually fit inside the ears on the mask? Must take while to get that thing on eh...

ianfxmen

takes about 15 seconds to put it on. the ears basicly goes flat in the mask so that it fits as much people possible since not everyone as the ears at the same place
