I am one of those people who usually find injections to be painful. Usually pretty sore for 3-5 days after an injection and was really getting in the way of my workouts...

Over the last 2-3 weeks I have been experimenting with warming up my gear prior to injection with the following protocol.
1) I get a big mug of water and place it in the microwave for ~3:30min. It usually comes out of the microwave boiling and piping hot.
2) Get all my gear ready, draw out the gear into the syringe.
3) Place syringe (with tip) in the mug of hot water for ~2min while I sterilize the injection site.
4) Take syringe out of mug, dry with a clean towel and inject.

Has been literally painless since...

Just my 0.02c.

I'm assuming you leave the cap on the needle?

Yes, definately leave the cap on the needle. Sure the water is boiling and probably sterile...still wouldn't trust it.

Yeah, who knows though with the microwave if it's the same thing as using a stovetop... but not only that, wouldn't want to dry off the needle with a towel either.

Hmm... so no water gets into the cap? I've been trying to think of a way to heat my oils without having to heat the bottles. I might have to try this.. though I'm not getting much pain from my oils this time, if it helps overall it's worth a shot. (no pun intended)

Yea not the best idea, put the vial in the watr instead, steralize, draw, inject.. Pretty much the same thing but keeps the pin sterile

^^Fine for the little bottles, but I've got big ol 30ml bottles... but at the same time, I'd want to be absolutely sure everything is sterile.. I wouldn't want any, not even a drop, of water getting into the cap and risk contamination.

No water gets into my cap anyway. And right now im currently a little short on needles but usually I'd change the needle before injecting anyway, so that solves your problem right there.

Actually, good point... I could put the cap back on the 20g and dunk the syringe... then swap it after with the 25g like I normally do.

i use the hottest tap water after letting it run for about a minute or so. Then i use a 3 shot shot glass because its the perfect size so the bottle wont tip over and get water on the top. I let it sit for 3 mins. get so more hot water. Let sit for 3 more mins. Then sterilize, draw, and inject. Since i started heating 2 i find it draws and feels perfect no pain with a 25g. I dont like the idea of heating it up to much becuase it just seems like it would not be good to get the vial near boiling.

I just draw the gear then inject it :)

or just turn on the hot water tap and hold the syringe at an angle until it gets warm.

What's with over-complicating shit these days?

Complex is better. Like having Test E & C in one vial. :)

prop esters and the 450 mg/ml stuff are the only ones that hurt me

What I do is draw gear put cap on and run under hot water for 10-15 seconds. Also, the caps completely seal the needle.

What the heck are you guys injecting? You should be able to draw and pin without a big pre-injection ritual. :D

Hey man the ritual is all part of honoring the steroid gods.

Hey man the ritual is all part of honoring the steroid gods. i like to partake in ritual sacrifice beforehand....i find that if i shove the whole syringe into an eye socket and leave it there for 5-10 minutes it gets my gear to body temp which is ideal....

what do you guys think about little air bubbles, they just always seem to be there? anyway to prevent this?

I draw, switch to my 25g needle, run it under super hot water for a min then remove the cap and inject.

I think a lot of you are going overboard, it shouldnt take 5 mins for the heat to transfer into the oil. Im pretty sure 30 sec - 1 min will heat the oil as good as its gonna get, you want to match body temp, you dont want to burn your muscle tissue.

I draw, run under hot water and switch tips and inject. Only once did I ever get water in the syringe and it was very obvious if you look.

A couple of cycles ago I started leaving half a tic of air in the barrel to get all the gear out, so I think a couple of bubbles won't hurt.

I purposely pull an air bubble into my syringe. I let it sit between the oil and the plunger, that way everything is injected into the muscle. If you're a little more liberal and pull a larger bubble, you won't have any oil seep out.

I just pull .1ml or so. Works fantastic! I can't stand seeing oil left in my syringes, however little it may be.

if I'm preloading then I'll heat the vials in a cup of hot water.

For prop, I wrap a hot magic bag around the barrel for a couple mins and then shoot.

Everything else I just shoot.

Why not just draw then heat the barrel with a hair blowdryer on high.

Exactly what I do. I wanna hear that pop to seal it in.

NO NO NO DUDE, not a good idea at all.

When your in the bathroom wipe injection area with whatever you use and while it evaporates place the syringe under the tap running hot water WITH CAP STILL ON.....LOL

Just keep the middle of the syringe under the water till it heats up then dry it off and inject.

With your method there is a greater chance of infection due to the fact you are placing the buisness end under water.

If you inject room temp oil once it's in your body it expands because it heats up, but when you heat the oil first then inject it shrinks after being injected thus it reduces pressure inside the muscles making it less painful or pain free.

I'm not sure if it's been noted, but obviously the needle is sterile. Leave it under the shield until you're ready to pin. Also, don't bother swabbing it either. That's overkill and poses the risk of INTRODUCING bacteria to the needle, you never know if your finger will slip and touch it.

For me, I just sanitize everything after washing my hands, draw my shit, switch pins and jab away. Easy. Quick.
