Great movie / doc. I watched it online , I'll buy it when it's on DVD ( if it's not already)

Did anyone see him on Oprah ? Him and Evander were on there together , I haven't seen it but I'm looking to find it as I think it would be an interesting interview with those two.

Tysons hand speed in his prime was unbeliveable, amazing to say the least, he was the best of the best, and had a beautifull uppercut..

I watch this on the weekend. Great story in my opinion. While one cannot condone his behaviour at times there is no doubt that he (among others) is the poster boy for being a product of your environment.

He is also a poster boy (for when Cus got a hold of him) of what having someone believe in you and love you can do for your life. I often wonder if he had a few more years with Cus if Mike would have made different choices/decisions in his life than he did.

You are partly right IMO. He fought in an era that didn't have many great heavyweights and when he did fight them he was beaten (Holyfield and Lewis). Tyson was able to beaten by those who did not fear him and could push him around a bit. He got easily frustrated when he had to implement a fight plan other than knock the guy's head off within 5 rounds. Still, he had the handspeed, power and footwork early on that may have been able to beat Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Holmes in their prime too. MAYBE. His skills eroded quickly when he was surrounded by people who agreed with him all the time. Had he been trained by Rooney, Atlas and D'amato all his career he may have been the best ever.

Come on now, Mike Tyson ate bean poles for breakfast but Foreman was a ****in monster in his prime and Ali even beat him!! Those four guys that you mention all had iron jaws and if Tyson couldnt knock them out in 4 he would be whittled away and dropped to the mat in 8 rounds easily. In my opinion he was pure knock out power with little to no actual technical skills.

I found the movie pretty boring and one sided. It paints tyson to be this misunderstood guy who just wanted to do well at the sport. he probably did rape robyn givens and did probably tons of other terrible shit we dont know about. he fought well but as mentioned never fought a TRUE heavyweight.

not worth watching.

He had great skills early on but I don't compare him to those 4 guys. My point is that he never got a chance to fight those guys in their primes. Not his fault. Foreman has limited skills. He was the Tyson of his day only IMO he beat better opponents. I'd put Ali, Foreman, Frazier, Holmes and maybe Liston ahead of Tyson. Maybe Lewis too.
