View Full Version : How well do first cycles usually go?

I was thinking and was wondering what the odds of your first cycle going well. I know it really depends on the person, but I want to get at the odds of a well-informed first timer successing in a first cycle (got the most out of the gear they used or their cycle met their expectations).

So if you can recall your first cycle, or have seen some of your friends do their first cycle that was generally well executed (eg. trained well, included PCT, good diet )....can you let me know whether you felt it was successful? or was your first cycle a total let down.

I think my biggest fear is that even if I do everything a well-informed person would do, train well, and my gear is sound, - I might not see results (or little results), or experience a side effect I can't manage (eg. gyno, ance, pain, etc.) that will force me in early PCT. I guess my problem is that I don't want to get my hopes up and be let down. GOD I'm such a pussy.

Well I am 9 weeks into my first cycle. I have been eating and working my ass off in the gym. Other than some mild acne and having LOTS of sex the only side effect I have noticed is gaining 30 lbs.

I am running 500mg/wk x 12wk of Test Enan with a Nolva PCT.

On a side note it doesn't sound like you are ready for AAS yet. I would keep doing your research. You want to be damn sure about what you are doing before you start.

What are your stats?

A guy I work with did 30mg dbol for 6 weeks and 500 test e and 300 eq a week. He gained 35 pounds. He came off and didnt do pct, started drinking and doing coke and went from 200 to 155 lol. My other buddy gained 30 on his first cycle of 600mg test e and some masteron. He did proper pct and stayed off the booze and drugs and he kept 20ish of his pounds.

4 months. I worked a different shift then him and I saw him a few weeks ago and was like WTF?

That test was just kicking in when he went off cycle. WTF was he thinking? 6 weeks dbol, test E and eq.... WTF? I'm guessing his gains were mostly from the dbol........ Does he ride the short white bus?



IMHO a lot of it is doing your homework before, and sticking to the plan. Your buddy that lost all the weight had no plan, and he has no gains either. So if you just took random aas, for a random period of time, and didn't do PCT or eat then yeah, thats where you'll end up.

Sorry I was half asleep when I wrote that last night. He did 6 weeks of orals and 15 weeks of test and eq.

Ya, I know i'm not ready, i'm still making gainings. I'm definitely still researching. I don't really have the right mind set anyways, I'm still concerned about the possible health consequences and the risks.....but I know that's my own opinion and that's why I posted. I'm in my late 20s, 5'5, 140. I can bench 160, squat 230.

agree with above^^ BUT, when you are ready make it right, as the first cycle is the most effective cycle imo!

training/experience
diet
current health
PCT and events that occur after cycle.


on my first cycle i gained roughly 30lbs, obviously not all muscle. i got quite sick shortly after my cycle and lost quite a bit of it. funny enough i looked a lot better after getting sick cause my body devoured my fat.

First cycles aren't always good. I ran six weeks of Test cyp & Deca from east Europe & ran out before a replacement order could appear. I was moving (as usual) and didn't get in my gym time, plus I got a bit of the flu. I gained less than 10 lbs. Goddamned frustrating is what it was, especially since I was suddenly so horny & had no girlfriend. (Yeah, I did call in an escort, but it just wasn't like the real thing.:mad:)

Luckily this was long ago, and I have since learned to use my time on the gear to the max.

You have a way to go IMO, eat more and train harder. I think you bench is an indication that you may not be pushing yourself as hard as you can.

I put on so much size my first cycle that friends didn't even recognize me. It's crazy how well a little test works when used correctly.

know a close friend on his first and 6 weeks in hes up to 216 from 195. so a good 20lbs so far. Diet/training/sleep/supplementation are sound. If you really do everything right then you will not be disappointed.
