What do you think is missing from canada bodybuilding that mn had? Since mn is down, maybe we can create the magic here. Both are great canadian bodybuilding sites but mn is the most popular ever by far. How do you think canada bodybuliding can capture that flame?

Personally I think we are doing well as is but maybe we should go out and recruit some canadians in the gym and on other sites. I think some have no clue about this canadian board.

I was going to say the same. A lot of the members there made the site what it is. I miss a lot of them. I <3 them all.

Lurking probably. I never saw BDH here. Does anyone communicate with him often? Maybe let him know some of us are here.

Unless of course he is here just under a different handle. There are a lot of handles I am unfamiliar with here. Probably some are guys we know.

Little unforseen problem. It's being resolved but I can't give a timeframe right now. Should be soon.

Well i have never been on MN, wanted to register but registration was down. In any case i think that we have a good solid foundation here at CBB with the quality of members that we currently have...lots of experience and knowledge here.

I hope that more of the vets from MN come here and contribute and help build this site into some truly special...not that it is not special now but you all know what i mean. :)

The first board I went to was CJM, as it went down the drain (at least for me), I switched to MN. There was a very different atmosphere at MN compared to CJM, mainly less flaming, no MOD wars and mostly a more relaxed ambiance.

I don't post much at MN but I enjoy lurking and reading all the stupid cracks and jokes of the very "special" individuals residing there. There is a very unorthodox sense of humour at MN and it takes a while to appreciate it I guess :)

I also know that many people from MN see each other outside the forum and it helps create that special friendly atmosphere IMO.

The amount of infos and "important" people there makes it a very unique board. I really hope it stays on.

I don't know if CBB will reach the standards set by MN but I think we may have another winner with this board here.

It takes time to create camaraderie.

MN is/was a place where anyone could call my bullshit and I'd take it, and I'd do the same as I knew that people where there for each other.

As in any other new relationship it takes time to create trust and I see no reason why that wouldn't happen here, everybody (so far) is respectful of each other and the level of knowledge is there.

To be honest, I've never been on a board as tightly knit as Muscle Nexus. We had two Doctors on there to field all kinds of questions, Cool Mods, The place was ran in a respectable manner. There are many guys/gals from that board that made it an awesome place to post on. The last year or so Nexus became more strict because of obvious reasons and we lost a few good men, but there was always a great core of people there to talk with. I don't think a lot of outsiders really seen how close a lot of the members became on that board, it was a cool thing to be a part of. It actually has a place in my heart as ghey as that may sound... but I spent many a nights on there laughing and joking, I read some incredible stories and was always treated with respect no matter how Non bodybuilding some of the topics were. Long story short, It was a pleasure being a part of the whole deal that was Nexus. I hope CBB can achieve such status as well. I'm sure it can.

Add to that he let a very good business go down the drain . His protein products were great and other than a few wrong orders (he always reimbursed) his service was prompt and courteous with me . IMO he was in the joint and couldn't fill orders himself . I may be wrong , but who doesn't have access to a PC other than a convict ? Of course , I was told this was not the case by his friend who filled orders from time to time .
I didn't think he was owned THAT much . I've seen much worse (JKurz) .

Man, I remember when BDH got banned (I thought he just left lol) and MP opened MN. CJM used to be the place to go and then MN became the bbing forum after that whole Doug episode. Old CJM used to be a wealth of information. I like MN, alot of good people there..

I was banned 2x on CJM but have been invited back by a mod who I always respected even when I was pissed . BDH is back on CJM with a new tag and is behaving and posting regularly , lol . It was my first board and was a great board at that . I may well rejoin but am having a lot of fun here .

Great post Geo. I agree, it is people like Geo and many others that make MN a fun place to spend time. It has a good mix of vets / competitors/ pros and hacks . CBB seems to be coming around and I actually believe it has improved since the " no lab talk" rule took effect.
