There have been a few closely related threads lately.

I've hit a weight plateau in the last couple of weeks at 225 on a clean diet have pretty much reached the point of daily indigestion. I'm getting enough protein but my total calories need to be higher.

I added peanut butter sandwiches to my first breakfast this morning in hopes of upping the calorie density.

I'm not sure whether to throw fat or complex carbs on the fire at this point.

Any thoughts would be welcome.

try 15g glutamine with each meal for a few weeks see if your weight goes up. I also like the idea of adding some fats to each meal, I'd start with 1tbsp per meal.

the macro i always increase to get things going again are my carbs... after a couple of higher carb days i feel beastly, just tight/strong, pumps and vascularity are ridiculous

I like adding fats... 9 calories per gram, and often overlooked as a great addition for bulking. Skip Lacours talks about this in one of his seminars. He adds oils to his chicken or just takes a tablespoon of it with meals. Carbs have a way of stopping fat loss... oils can be a better choice for a calorie bump. Of course you know about sticking to health mono's and poly's ;)

Saturated fat as in coconut oil is great as well, so is red meat fat, not healthy, but damn it makes a nice cosmetic adjustment....:D

Thanks for the great feedback guys. I've made some pretty darn good progress this fall but am finding out quickly that learning how to eat bigger is going to my toughest job this year. An extra 10 pounds of meat and increased intensity in the weight room is burning calories as fast as I'm putting them in.
