Hey bros,

I've been doing some reading on this peptide and I've seen some conflicting info from different boards and I was wondering if you could help me out a bit.

Cycle length: I've read that 4wks on 4wks off is an ideal length because it gives your satellite cells time to regenerate and helps prevent permanent intestinal growth, but then I've also seen guys who seem dead set that longer cycles (4-6 months) are the way to go because it takes a while for the peptide to have any effect

Dosage protocol: I've seen anything from IM injections of 40-100mcg bilaterally PWO (so 20-50mcg injected into each quad/pec/delt etc), and either EOD, every workout day, or ED regardless of whether or not you train that day.

When to use: If I were to use IGF-1 I'd like to use it during PCT, and possibly throughout my time off gear. I've read in some places that IGF-1 is beneficial during PCT to help maintain gains or possibly continue making gains, however I've also read that without AAS, hGH, and/or slin, IGF-1 your money would be better spent on creatine and food. I'm not interested in using AAS, hGH or slin with IGF-1 though, so if it's a bad idea I'll just nix the whole idea.

About me:
Age: 23
Weight: 217lbs and climbing (on week 8 of a 16 week cycle)
Height: 5'11"
BF%: 12%
Years Training: 7
Cycle history: 1st cycle 500mg Test E/wk, 12wks. PCT: nolva/aromasin, 2nd (current cycle): Wk 1-16: 600mg Test E/wk, 600mg EQ/wk, 500iu HCG/wk (wk 7-16). PCT: clomid/aromasin

P.S. I know I'm young to be using AAS, but is 23yrs too young to use IGF-1?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks bro, that guide actually helps me in a couple areas - would do injections PWO only, and inject IM, but it doesn't really get into the finer details I'm looking for such as cycle length (short vs long term) and whether it's worth it to use during PCT without AAS, GH, or slin.

Considering the life is 30 hours on LR3, you'd just be saturating yourself with ED dosage, and just desensitize your receptors super quick. Grunt advocates every other day, or every 3 days, intramuscular shots 5 min post workout into the trained muscle, to minimize the system wide side effects (intestinal growth etc) and maximize site gains.

That's an awesome link, answers a lot of questions.

Thanks Mast!

Grunt76 is pretty prolific in writing about IGF. You can find lots of posts by him in the IGF forum of bolex, and all over the place at http://www.professionalmuscle.com/

He's also apparently selling a book that summarizes all his know how on this stuff:

As far as "'ve read in some places that IGF-1 is beneficial during PCT to help maintain gains or possibly continue making gains, however I've also read that without AAS, hGH, and/or slin, IGF-1 your money would be better spent on creatine and food. I've read lots about it being good for PCT as well. And as far as it being useless wituot AAS or HGH, I think if you scour lots of different boards, you'll find the jury is out on this one. Some people respond well to it, some don't notice it at all. Personally, having good results from it myself, I'd stand by it, but I might be just one of those people who respond well to it.

Grunt76 really seems to know his stuff. He pretty much answered every question I was on the fence about beforehand.

About the PCT, I've found discussions on this topic on a couple different boards and like you said, some people seemed to like it and some didn't. I guess the only way to really know is to try it myself!

Thanks again bro.

No problem.

I think if I ever do a cycle again, IGF will definitely be in there.

just some feedback...i'm 3 weeks into pct and still gaining on all my lifts, taking 40mcg post workout (4 days per week). routine, diet, etc are all identical to when i was on cycle

"a guy I know" just finished 4 weeks of 80mcg done only on lifting days which equates to EOD , so it was 40 pwo and 40 before bed. done mid cycle of t400.
the guy feels it was well worth the money as he got stronger than ever and weight went up and bf stayed same %

No worries bro, this is exactly the kind of feedback I'm interested in since I'm still on the fence about the whole idea.

I'm definitely liking how a lot of people who I ask directly are saying they think IGF-1 is beneficial during PCT.
