It just came to mind that, instead of paying something like 30-40$ for amino acids tablets, wouldnt be better to buy a 2pounds tub of whey isolate?? im pretty ill last longer considered that you need to take between 5-10tabs for a complete amino dose vs 1/2 scoop of whey iso..

Imput plz

amino tabs are a waste.

You could, but I dont think you want to consume that amount of protein pre and post workout.. the advantage of BCAA tabs or a post workout drink with BCAA's is that they wont interfere with your diet...

I take BCAA's before and after my workout, in order to get the same amount of BCAA's from an iso, id have to down 2 huge shakes.

I agree!
a scoop of iso-whey is cheaper and smarter.

is 1/2 scoop of isolate supposed to be a lot? how would that interfere with someone's diet? im confused with your post... i have 2 scoops of whey before and after my workouts. i dont see the problem there.... bcaa's seem like a waste of money to me as well.

have a look at the label of your bottle of bcaa's and see how much of each amino acid there is, then compare that to a whey isolate. you'll see you're not getting any more in the bcaa's.. it's a gimmick.

I personally feel like shit if I down 2 scoops of whey before my workout. 5g's of amino acids in your gatorade pre workout is nothing and doesnt cost much unless you buy the tabs.. the powder is much cheaper.

since the bcaa's are limited to the three amino acids responsible for energy, i can see the usefulness.. however 1/2 a scoop seems to yield the same amount of those amino acids, along with the other ones.

i actually drink my shake an hour before my workout.. 1/2 hour after that i drink my pre-workout mix, 30-40 mins start my workout. if i had my shake immediately before my workouts i would feel bogged down for sure.

I hate taking amino tabs. They're huge and you need to take 12+ a day. I love getting liquid amino's. A bit harder to find but 1 teaspoon and you're gtg

ON whey blend advertises 5g/24g scoop.. a half scoop pre workout is only going to yield you a couple grams of BCAA's...

well thats a whey blend, not isolate... and the bcaa label i was looking at only showed 2200mg per serving. how much of each amino acid does your bcaa yield? maybe some are better than others.. i was only looking at the one product.

Most BCAA supps will have 2:1:1 and their serving suggesting is never enough.

I believe ON, if you're referring to 100% Whey, is an isolate.

I buy XTend. Powedered BCAA'S are way cheaper and more convenient than tablets. I just mix it with water and carry them around with me. It's there for me to sip on whenever. Also like to drink them in the middle of the night. Personally, if I briefly wake up in the middle of the night, I do not feel like making a shake or eating whole food, so I just take a few scoops of BCAA's.

Guys..the reason why some people like amino acids is that they are already broken down from the protien chain and ready to be used RIGHT AWAY.Whey iso has to be broken down some what and it takes longer to enter your bloodstream(aminos get absorbed through the stomach) because it is digested in the intestine. Then once ithe protein has reached your blood stream,it has to be broken down into aminos to become useful for muscle growth or fuel.

Many people like taking this in the morning cause it stops catabolism almost right away. This way you need not to spike with sugar.Very practical on a diet.
It can also be used before and after a workout, but this to me would not be worth the cost.Protein would probably suffice here

What some people like doing on a diet is having some between meals. The liquid aminos are ideal for this. Many believe that the thinner you get,the harder it is to maintain the muscle you have. What aminos do is supply a constant flow to the blood stream which thereafter can be used as energy instead of having the body canabolise itself for fuel.In other words it keeps cortisol levels extremely low and catabolism to a minimum.

I still think tabs are a wast of $ BIG TIME. a 25 scoop os Iso-whey will have alot of BCAA's PLUS the others.

only bcaas i use is powder, a few scoops in my water during my work out. then after work out 1scoop iso-whey with dex ans 2-5g creatine DONE!

this is a very good one: http://www.lgsciences.com/product-p/bc-eaa-blue-raspberry.htm

I would not wast my $ on tabs.
powders fore here and there yes (like during work out ect.) but my main source would have to go to whey powder.
to me it makes more sence.

I bought amino tabs when i didnt know anybetter years ago. now i save $ every month and have 5-10lb more of whey to get threw incomparison. :-P

Nope, it's a blend.

I just do both, protein and BCAA powder.

amino acid tabs are a complete waste in my opinion - considering they are usually just whey concentrate in tab form - bcaas make a lot more sense, but overall whey powder has to be the best option, surely
