Check it out.
I had some high concentration test (300mg/ml). I diluted it with some cotton seed oil from a medical supply site known well by some on this board. I filtered the oil once for good measure and mixed it with my test to about 100mg/ml.
I injected and felt fine. A lot less painful than before. About a week later, I woke up in the morning with hives all over my body: back, ass, legs, hips, thighs, shoulders, arms. real itchy. very annoying, but not too alarming. I took a Reactine and it disappeared for a couple days. Now its back.
Anyone think I'm allergic to the oil? I have never had hives before. Am not allergic to anything as far as I am aware. And I am hard pressed to think of anything else I've changed in the past 2 weeks that would cause this.
Then again, seems strange that hives would pop up a whole week after the injection. thoughts?
oh, and don't bring up the stripper i nailed last weekend. no way she was old enough to have an STD.

An allergic reaction would not have happened a week after. It would have been within hours of injecting.
You are definitely allergic to something though. Think about what you ate the night before you got the allergy. It may help you find out what you are allergic to.
A lot of people are also allergic to dust mites in a mattress. I myself have that allergy and if I don't cover the mattress with a protective cover, I will break out in hives. I developed that allergy later on in life but before I ever touched an AAS.
If you do suspect it's the oil, the only way to really find out is to try again but keep the reactine on hand.
If this condition persists, go to an allergist and get the pin tests done. Before that, get a blood test done and specifically ask for a hepatitis test. Maybe even a hiv test to be on the safe side. Some allergies also happen when your liver/kidneys aren't functioning well and you're system can't flush the toxins properly.
I have many years of experience with this topic. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks, phreak. i appreciate that. dust mites were my first thought. i had been running around alot the last few months and hadn't changed my bed sheets in awhile. i put on fresh sheets, vacuumed, washed some towels. i actually just got a full suite of std tests done. they all came back negative, though im not sure if hep was included.
I do have some digestive problems. could be an ulcer, could be something else, its still up in the air.
i pinned myself again last night and only started getting itchy a half hour ago.
if it is the oil, how dangerous is it to keep using it and popping these reactine?

I was on .5mg's of reactine for 2 years straight before I found out what my allergy was. No damage to anything inside me. It's a pretty safe anti-histamine. Though you'll get headaches at first.
Dangerous is how your body will react to the allergen if it's the oil. You may stay at the same level indefinitely or you may become hyper allergic which can be dangerous if your tongue and throat swell up. It's hard to say how your body will react. Whatever you choose to do though, you should still eventually go get an allergy test done.

im taking down the name and number of the local allergist as we speak.
come to think of it, I did buy a new bucket of protein power the day before. I've used the same stuff before, but that's all I could point to that was different diet-wise.

you could have IgG antiboties to the cotton seed oil. I believe IgE and IgM antiboties are the ones you want to avoid developing. Iv only heard this not sure if their is any evidence to back it up, you might want to research it before trying it:
"If you want to get rid of your allergies you have to overload your system with it. So if you allergic to milk you would keep drinking milk" I used to see an allergist, but he never used to say anything like overloading your system.
Follow MPs advise and go get everything checked out.

Man I went 2 whole days without ingesting any food then started reintroducing food into my diet slowly to see if it was any foods. I'm lucky to have no food allergies.
Worst comes to worst, drop the gear with the cottonseed. If you're still getting the hives, it's not the gear. If they go away for good, then you found your allergen.

Cotton seed oil is usually pretty well tolerated, that sucks that you had such an adverse reaction.
Sometimes allergies aren't immediate. You may need something to aggravate them. When I was pinning shitty gear I was fine until I was touched, had something heat my skin quickly or got scratched. I could look at my back in the mirror and slowly see the skin start to raise and break out in rashes. It looked kind of cool but ****, was it ever miserable.
We tried taking some time lapse photos of my skin breaking out but my old computer was reformatted. It looked ****ing insane. Try grapeseed oil! :)

ya, that's the sensation i was just getting, though not to the same extent. i could feel my skin start to raise all over. it was tingling.
another confusing thing is I've read cottonseed and peanut oil are pretty analogous chemically. if you are allergic to one, you are probably allergic to the other. i am definitely not allergic to peanuts.
ya, im going to look around for some grapeseed oil.
p.s. Phreak, i love your attitude. Having to quit the cycle is the worst outcome. :)
