View Full Version : prop/npp cycle vs test E/deca cycle

I started thinking about time on should equal time off and with the shorter esters you'd need less time off in comparision to the longer esters. So which cycle would be better for recovery and gains? Below I'll list two cycles, but first lets make some assumptions: 1: both npp and prop take two weeks to get to full effect or to "kick in". 2: test E take 4 weeks to take full effect and deca takes 5 weeks. 3: both cycles would be the same dosages mg for mg for the weight of the hormones. 4: Theres no bloat from anything. 5: Diet, training, and rest are all in check.

cycle 1: suspension/prop/npp

week 1-2: test suspension
week 1-9: test prop
week 1-8: npp

cycle 2: test e/deca

week 1-14 test E
week 1-12 deca

now in cycle 1 we have test at full stength right from day one because of the suspension and we have test p going all the way to week 9. But in cycle 2 the test E kicks in at week 4 and is active till about week 16. So in cycle 1 we have 9 active weeks of test, and cycle 2 we have 12 active weeks but we are shutdown for additional 7 weeks compared to cycle 1. Same principle goes for deca.

So is it just more convenient to use the longer esters compared to the shorter ones? Does one yield more results than the other?

I find shorter esters yield slightly greater results and provide more training aggression (I don't have literature to support this, just personal experience). However, I generally choose longer esters simply b/c I like being on for 16 weeks, and the cost/benefit ratio to stay on short esters that long isn't worth it. I also pin long esters EOD so convenience is not really a factor.

Dude, prop doesn't take that long to kick in. You can start holding more water as soon as a day or two in. And if you're front loading with suspension then you're getting test into your body almost instantaneously. Short esters rock. Ain't no ****ing around and waiting for everything to kick in

Lots of people I know prefer short esters too. It comes on hard and fast. I don't really care much for longer esters, aside from the fact that you can pin infrequently. Pinning ED or EOD with short esters, even with a slin pin, gets God damn annoying. After a couple months I start dreading the thought of pinning.

I'd personally opt for the shorter cycle though. What I'm doing right now is all short esters (test prop, tren ace, drostan. prop) and some sustanon once or twice a week. After a short blast, I'll just cruise on some sustanon for a bit and maybe add some primo. Once serum cortisol drops and thyroid recovers, back on the short esters for another blast. This way you stay anabolic even while cruising and letting your body solidify it's newly acquired mass, but you're not letting your hormones yo-yo because cycling on and off can sometimes be more miserable than a long drawn out recovery. Basically gotta pick your poison.

One question...whats your hurry?

No hurry bro.

Im just trying to figure out if the same results are yielded by both cycles, and if we are shutdown longer on one than the other why would we choose the longer cycle. Unless the shorter esters cause more sides.

Bongd,
The prop kick in time is just an assumption. Iv heard anywhere from 5 days to 2 weeks. You got a good point on the yo-yo effect, I suppose that can also be bad for ones head, especially those that react to clomid mood swings and what not.
