I used to have it bad in both arms. Struggled with it for months on my own, i finally went and seen a sports physio, and between him and me stopping what made it hurt i am now good to go. Basically any bicept work is out for me, sucks but that is the reallity for me.

Avoid anything that feels painful that could be aggravating the problem for a few months.

the only way for it to heal is to avoid it. I had it bad in my forearms, but I discovered it was from over rotation with resistance (ie barbell curls). I took 2 weeks off lifting, and returned with just single arm movements, I havent had pain since.

Avoid curling movements for a few weeks.
Use Pennsaid 4-5 times daily on the affected area.
Use an oral anti-inflammatory for a week to 10 days...Celebrex
Ice the affected area multiple times daily.
ART from a good chiro will help.
Chronic tedonitis can caused by incorrect form repated over and over...you need to revisit your training techniques.

I have had calcific tendonitis on both shoulders at different times. Go see an orthopedist. He will tell you what to do
