Jay 2008 and 2009 comparisons

My personal opinion, but i dont see a whole big difference everyone is talking about, i see his new color brings out much more detail.....I think it looks like jantana, much nicer than the too dark 2008...

In the top pics tho his chest looks ****ing insane. The best ive seenon him. Also look at the wheels and the added definition. Arms especially tris bigger. traps up slightly from the front.

Agreed top pic chest is much more visible and looks much larger, it seems as though its a different angle....leaning back more in left pic.....
better definition, just wondering if it is the color though that makes it more noticeable...

All I see is a better stance for standing relax pose. Other than that, the pics don't make him look any more ripped. Post a back shot...I think that was the only real difference I saw when watching - not really a film of lower back fat/water

I just looked myself at a few of the back shots, and no difference there either in rippedness it seems. I THINK that he just looks smaller (less swollen) this year all in the right places to give him a more pleasing look. its VERY subtle, but enough that to the eye he simply looked less like a refrigerator.

i think he looks hard and drier, more definition in his chest and legs and you can see by looking at his face that hes leaner

dont forget that friday he was off last year and then saturday when those pics were taken he hardeneed up a bit, i think he lost 8 lbs water over night last year. this year he was on both days, and since its 50% friday and 50% saturday u have to be on both days

his chest, arms and traps look bigger. his color is also way better, and he is a hell of alot harder and drier then 2008

I was there and can tell you nobody was close to him that night. He was very tight, way tighter than last year. Waist was tight, no distension at all. He had lines in his delts, something he didnt have the last few years. Glutes were shredded. He deserved it.

i see some slight size increases in certain areas.. it does look like an overall improvement.. there's only so big one can get, the rest seems like conditioning, shape/definition, and oddly enough, colour and hair style?

The difference was condition from the back. Last year, his glutes were way off, and this year he was shredded. it made a massive difference from the back.

plus, you can't go by pictures because he is way more lean then the pictures would indicate...The camera lens probably pics up all the major separations which he had both years, but the minor ones is what you probably aren't seeing in the pics.

Maybe he looked better in real life for improvements....I love Jay, and absolutely agree he deserved and was the best that night....Honestly still not seeing all the MAJOR improvements, bis from back, especially left one is improved peak, but the skin folds and water are still almost the exact patterns.......My point is, the color is the absolute biggest difference i see......Looks great, just not that much better as some seem to say....not like a Ronnie difference, those changes were unreal, as is kai greene right now, major changes....

I didnt even notice Kai Greene up there in the top 6. You cant expect dramatic changes in Jay now, just refinement and he brought that. Pics are the worst way to tell how someone looks, in person he was unreal and tight everywhere.

As i already said, still not huge changes.......either way, Love jay, but Ronnie was the master of change, and so has kai been from show to show.....
it was asked to post pics to see the difference, nobody rose to the occasion...so i posted them, they dont show much difference IMHO....

In the back double, i see noticeable improvement in the conditioning of his upper back...his traps, rhomboids and lats are showing striations in this year's pics, that are not there in last year's... his delts also look somewhat more separated also.

Your right you can see it in his Face that he is leaner.Jay is Dry and harder this year.

Jay looked pretty wicked last year on Saturday. Way better then he did friday night. This year he had both nights dialed and his colour was spot on. He deserved it.

good for jay! he does look a bit better, but you can't really expect massive changes from last year, he almost won the show back then and he wasn't out of shape. you can only expect small improvements, which he did do
