Well, I didn't know where to post this so here is as good a place as any.

I can never decide if I'm a powerlifter, or a bodybuilder so...

Today I finally broke my PR on the bench. My previous PR was 308 back in 2004. Today I hit 300, then 315, then 330 at a BW of 180 lbs.:bch

I DID use a double ply bench shirt, but it was the same shirt I used for my previous PR. Now, in a few months, I'd like to see 350, but finally getting the 330 today was the best feeling ever! It seemed to go up very well, it was strict and paused and I felt I had more, but that was enough for today.

I'd like to say a very BIG thank you to AlladinSane for your help with my shirt and the HUGE motivation. It was cool finally meeting you. Man I wish I was closer to your gym, but I have definately found the place to go if i want to lift HARD AND HEAVY!

Thanks again and we'll see you soon!

you know...I'm not really sure. It's a double ply Denim (closed back). It was given to me a while back...I'd say at least 6 or 7 years ago.

:) Happy to help. Highlight of my day! (Well that as well as your buddy's first shirt try-out!)

...and you know... It'll only take 15 mins or so if it's NOT rush-hour to get to my place from yours... just sayin' ;)

Thanks guys, it was a great feeling to finally break past that barrier. As far as how much the shirt added to my lifts, I'd say about 50'ish pounds. It really helps to keep things tight.

No, I don't use the shirt when I am doing bb training. In fact, I haven't used the shirt since 2004. Usually I'll go up to 250 for 6 - 8 reps if I'm training chest.
