View Full Version : How do you eat 5000-6000cals a day without eating super dirty?

If I can down enough food, i gain weight, i've put on 3-4lbs in the last 2 weeks but i've been eating dirty. Like tons of burgers and crap just to get the calories up there.

What are good foods packed with calories that can be downed fast? Like many people, i work all day and machine shops and food dont mix well, so i appreciate food that can be packed into a baggie and downed fast with water.


Suggestions? ... huge appreciation.

Natural Peanut butter, almonds, home made lean ground beef muffin tray burgers, yams / sweet potatoes, brown rice with steak or chicken MMM

Margarine containers are your friend! :)

Should have added the shit part for me...

Im allergic to whole wheat, eggs, and peanuts... now the fun begins...

Liking the meat muffin idea though.

u could add a couple mass shakes, i like bsn true mass, a day, i think like 900 cal per shake...oatmeal, bananas, cereal, pasta, protein bars,

50 grams protein , 30-50 grams carbs in 8 meals and then 2 tbsp of Extra VOO, Mac Nut Oil or Flax oil with each meal? Total of 50p/30-50c/30f x8 meals......thats around 5500 right there easy peezy

cereal in shillouette, allegro cheese, lots of br rice, some bluberies... on top of chicken & fish & steak

I have a slightly more interesting question. wtf do you guys do with 5k calories a day other than get fat? At 225 I am currently bulking on 4k calories and it is too much. Should probably be closer to 3500.

Unless you are 6' 2" and 260 I'm not sure what you would do with all the fuel other than get fat.

^^ everyone is different bro, lots of factors play into it obviously... metabolism, and gear they are on??? What they do in their day(office job vs construction)... could add up to plus or minus 1000cal easily.

My trick is to drink 4litres of skim milk everyday...between meals.

This gives me an extra 144grams of protein 208 grams of carb which is a little more than 1400cals but doesn't stuff you silly plus i'm fully hydrated.

Then i Eat a solid 6 meals with 30 grams protein and 100 grams of carb per meal.

How do you guys cook brown rice? My wife said she has to soak it for an hour before she can cook it to release the germ or some crap. You guys use instant brown rice?

I like these ideas... im gonna go get 3-4 gallons of milk later today, start downing them.

As for how hard gainers dont get fat... we buzz all day. Even when we sit still we burn calories... it sounds like easy weight loss but it makes gaining weight a huge PITA.

Im gonna go grocery shopping tonight, take up some of these suggestions, for now im downing 4 jr bacon cheesers and a chicken burger for lunch, with fries and a frosty... 2600 calories/107g protein for lunch.... yum

I'm a pretty small dude (under 150) and I've been eating 3500 calories a day from clean solid food without any weight gain for a month. No problem getting fat though :(

****ing brown rice... I`ve tried so many times to cook it and not once did it ever come out decent. I now buy the ucle bens ready in 20 minutes stuff and works every time. Have a steaming bowl right beside me here... I even got a special rice cooker about 4 years back because everyone knew about my frustration with brown rice. I mean when you spend 1 hour and it never works, try again then the same shit happens over and over. The the pot is a big pain to clean...

Anyway, so when is that vid comming???

There's no trick to brown rice; it just takes a long time. Takes me an hour to cook it very slowly; always tastes good.

Brown rice tastes like fackin' tree bark, and yes, I've tried tree bark. I'll eat white rice and get my ruffage elsewhere.
