I don't have any but I've palyed around with them in stores. To me its a stupid concept because you still have to plug it in to a wall to power it. The only thing that's wireless is the signal from the receiver. I guess it give you a little more mobility.

Yea wireless speakers are kinda pointless.... unless you have power outlets all over your basement just do a professional install and get them install in the walls so you dont even have to see them.

I was going to say cost isn't any issue but that does not seem cost effective to have someone come in and tear up the walls and run wires, hence wireless speakers required, where they do not need to stay in that same designated room that may not always be a weight room etc

they have their purpose. For instance I was thinking about putting wireless in my bedroom for surround sound theatre.

Is it a finished basement? Carpeting? You could run wires along the baseboard (if you have one) or under the carpeting (if you have any) or along the ceiling.
I've listened to a set of wireless speakers before. They weren't that hot. BOSE SUCKS TOO!!! Get real audiophile equipment.
Where would the stereo be? There's a product called Airtunes, made by Apple that lets you stream music wirelessly from your computer. You could then plug that into a small receiver to play through some decent bookshelves and a sub.

Ya..don't want to see any wires...bad enough the wires go from the speaker to the ac outlet. Stereo system will actually directly above the room where they need to go....all floors/roofs are already done. Do not want to be drilling any holes/guesstimating where they may or may not pop out from.

You could always do it yourself. Its not that hard, and you dont have to put them in the wall this way. Even connect the power supply behind the wall aswell.
Your basement already finished or no?
