Like many people, money is tight for me. Working out and watching my movie collection over and over is getting quite boring now. Need some ideas for free hobbies to keep my mind from wandering. I don't party so going out is pretty much not an option. So far I've come up with these possibilities:
Watch a lot of MMA - this sport is on tv almost 24/7. Could watch a lot of it.
Follow NFL again - i've lost interest in watching team sports but i'm gonna try and give it a go by watching the bills this afternoon (that's my team)
Become a Tolkien scholar - i hear this is what people who memorize stuff from middle earth call themselves. seems like it would take years to get all that information stored. useless information, but entertaining nonetheless.
Keep watching Arnold and Stallone movies - seems to be the only movies I like. i watch one every night. it's getting boring though.
Buy a new training dvd a month - i really like watching bodybuilding dvds. i have 8 so far. would like to get a bunch more. one a month isn't too pricey.
Anybody got any suggestions for stuff that is free/doesn't cost much?

weed - if i had a reliable hookup then maybe. i'd rather smoke than drink these days.
ps3 - i own one but don't play games. i bought it to watch blu rays, dvds, and use as an mp3 player. i am interested in the fight night round 4 and ufc
pushups - i do them 3x per week, as well as ab work
masturbation - almost every night before i go to sleep
sit downtown and make fun of people - could do that.... but downtown is really sketchy
Education can't hurt - something to look into
A new language - possibly... i guess french would be the one to learn... or learn the latin mass
self improvement - i try to do this on a daily basis

i have a gf and im still bored as ****. I hate taking days off to rest. Its my absolute worst part of training. I feel like i have no purpose on off days. And by noon i have already been so bored thinking a tonne that im pissed off. I need a hobby to because all i do is sit around and try and eat good on off days. Its supposed to be a rest day but i feel more tired on rest days and low on energy. I dunno..****.

I have the same problem. When I gotta take a day off I feel restless. With a strong body a strong mind is good to go along with.

I think I need to get a hobby because I`m spending way too much time here. I may have to ask MP to somehow set up a system when I log in on the site, I`m allowed 2 hours a day, so I don`t keep clicking on the threads to see if anything else has come up.
The worst is before I go to bed. I go between each thread and section at lightning speed to see if there was something added, like a crackhead checking to see if his dealer is arriving down the street...
Right now I feel like taking a nap but don`t because I can`t get off this freakin` computer.

I'd get talking to a girl and they were using myspace angles on their pics. Never showing body. So I called them out on it since they were saying I was fat. They got pissed, probably reported me for god knows what, and I can't make any more accounts. I've tried on different computers too. It's my pictures. They see me and then my account is gone.
Sites like that give the women all the power. Especially the ones who've been on there for years and still no man. Maybe if I grow a King Leonidas beard and be muscled up in the pic nobody will notice me?

I have the same problem. I'm not sure if I'll be helping or making it worse but if you click at the top on "New Posts". It will display every thread that has a new post since you last logged on. Also, if you have to close the site and havn't finished looking over everything just click the x and don't log off. That keeps everything the same for when you sign back in.

I don't even know how to email the person who runs the site. Odds are they would take some bitch's word over mine anyway. Wasn't like the place was full of hot women. If there were any, in their part where they write about themselves they usually had about 3 or 4 kids.

The new Modern Warfare 2 comes out in November too. So by the time you are getting pretty decent at the game you will be ready to take on some new maps.

PS3 has a router built in bro, or you can plug your ethernet cable directly into your PS3 and you are good to go. You can get one of the tech guys at Best Buy or whatever to explain to you how to hook it up. Its very easy to understand.

My computer and my PS3 and on different levels of the house. I'd need to get a router or something for my dsl on my computer to send out the signal to my PS3. I tried connecting last night and could only get a 7% connection signal. The person down the street from me can steal signals from their neighbor for her netbook. Sucks I don't live another block over.

NHL 10 just came out. So sick too.
Gaming is a great way to get jacked too. You work out earlier in the day / night then you just stay at home and play games and eat well. Winter is coming too, and that is the season of gaming when its too cold to do anything outside.
If you want the new PS3 its only $299.

First I'll get a game or two that I like, get good at them, then get the router and go online. Thinking Fight Night Round 4, UFC Undisputed, Madden 10.
How is gaming a great way to get jacked though? Because you are sitting and not doing anything?
Because you are at home, and have access to all the (hopefully good) food in your fridge.
Make sure you hit the gym consistently or it wont work obviously. Just sit around play games and eat like a king every 2-3 hours. My buddy and I did this for a while winter and got pretty big.

I hear you on it being better than a movie. You get to picture the characters in your head and there is never any cheap acting.
I usually read for spurts of 30mins - 2 hours. Depends how much I like the book. I usually read at least 50 pages a day, sometimes up to 300.

I mostly read J.R.R. Tolkien and George R.R. Martin. I just started reading fantasy books other than Tolkien this year. I used to read only horror but nowadays all that's getting printed are shitty vampire hunter books.
I got a 14 day free disc of World of Warcraft but my computer doesn't have enough memory. I think I'd really like that game. Diablo III looks really cool too.

I suck at First Person Shooters. I owned Resistance Fall of Man and couldn't get past the 3rd or 4th level. I don't have the co-ordination skills to move, aim, and fire at the same time. My favorite game of all time is The Legend of Zelda (NES). I hated Zelda II, the one for the SNES is the only other one I liked. Hate the 3D ones.
I tried to get into Elder Scrolls IV:Oblivion but it was too hard even with the sliders on to make it super easy.

if you liked george martin and tolken... look into David Gemmel... he did the Troy series before he died... but before that his Rigante series along with others were very popular!... he and Georgee RR Martin and David Eddings are amongst my favorite fantasy writers... good battle scenes! likeable characters! fun dialogue... too bad he died

How can some of you guys be bored on off days or feel useless on off days? Your muscle grow when your at rest not when your in the gym so on my off days i just eat knowing my muscles are growing:)
As for hobbies there's always online poker. Get a prepaid credit card and use this for your deposit. I started with 100 bucks online years ago and have cashed out 2-3 grand a few times. Shit online poker payed off my student loans....lol
On my off/down time i do as much bodybuilding research as i can. Study diet plans, lifting routines, biology ect. I also like to go to thrift shops and hunt for cool shit like old books and mags, tight shirts(LOL) and pretty much any cool shit i can find.
I dunno im a very simple person and i don't need much out of life. As long as i have food and a roof over my head im pretty happy.
