Kaizen 2kg isolate for 30$ this week in the Windsor Ontario Costco. Went and got a bunch of tubs. Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream. Also like the premier 30g bars - 13.99 for 12. Awesome prices!

that is an amazing price, its only gone as low as 36 at vancouver costco...the stuff is gross though, was ok at first but is getting worse and worse for me. bad gas too which makes me question the 100% isolate claim

Funny that you mention that you got gas from it, after that big thread about Kaizen I had a buddy buy some of the Kaizen this week too and he got gas from that stuff as well. Then he took some of our whey blend and no gas and he has a little bit of issues with Lactose...not saying anything, but it was interesting.
At 83% protein per serving in a 100% isolate...knowing how it's processed and manufactured...that's a bit weird...or they must just load it with fillers.

I've used it for the last few months, no gas, but I have noticed a taste differnce as the bucket starts to empty, less sweet.
really good stuff IMO

I dunno, it tastes pretty brutal.
Here in Winnipeg, they offer Leanfit 5lb'ers of iso/conc mix for about $28. Not the greatest either, but if you're using 6-8 scoops/day it does the trick.

I`m just saying this in fairness of what I know. Guys the % of protein from the kaizen are a little higher than 83%. The choc is 85% and the van is 87.5% according to my labels unless the stuff has changed in the last 4 weeks, that`s what they are.
I like Kaizen isolate. Some of the best tasting and mixing stuff I've ever used. Bought it all the time when I was in Van and never had any intestinal problems.

TrueSupps - not trying to knock you guys. We all need to make money and im sure coscto is rich enough. I have a REAL sensetive stomach with protien powders. I think its because of the flavourings and sweeteners. I like the other costco whey concentrate, its like 28$ for 2kg and no issues. I dont care about flavour, i care about fuel. Id rather not load up on artificial sweeteners, even tho there is some sucralose in the Kaizen. Stevia is fine in my books.

I actually prefer the taste of the isolate and is why I buy it over the concentrate. But I always buy choc, except last time I hade to buy van. isolate. But man I`m getting tired of that stuff. The chocolate concentrate I ONLY bought because of the affordable price, then the iso went down from $45 to $40 and decided to go with that. I think I will try the TS protein in time and go between the kaizen and TS.

I have said this before the kaizen 100% isolate sold in costco is not the same formula as the one sold in supplements stores. Its a "CHEAP" formula the one in costco. I recently asked kaizen about this, and this is what they told me.
TP- think its possible for you to continue posting educational posts, without the trueprotein infomercial thta comes with them everytime. We all know u are a sponsor here and sell a good product, we dont need it rammed down our throats though.

But what does cheap formula mean?

$32 at my Costco here's a pic. Says 35g protein per 40g serving = 87.5% protein
Ingredients say: Undenatured cross-flow microfiltration whey isolate, whey protein isolate 97%, natural falvors, soy lecithin, sucralose ( Splenda 20mg/40g ) stevia leaf.
Personally never tasted it. I can appreciate the deal, but i'd rather pay a few bucks more to show my support to those companies that sponsor forums etc. Kaizen never did anything for me :)

^^^there you have it...I'm actually very interested to learn more about this. Thanks for the info Physique!
this is the stuff I've seen in both 2lbs and 5lbs: http://www.kaizencanada.com/K_IsolateProtein.html
...makes me wonder why they would run with 2 different types of isolate and what their reasoning would be behind it...i've seen these two types for quite some time on shelves too now so I don't see or think it would be a label change over...

Kaizen Vanilla icecream mixed with a tangerine crystal light= the best orange creamsicle around!!
Plus they are a winnipeg based company and have been sponsors of bodybuilding in manitoba for numberous years...

I have tried the Kaizen and experienced the gas and very blah taste. The price is good but if you dont like the taste you tend not to drinks it as much. I have never had a tub last as long as the Kaisen....LOL Its great that they sponsor in their community but there are lots that do. Out here Magnum is everywhere.

Funny... with my touchy stomach, I have no problem with gas. I am not lactose intolerant tho. Vanilla ice cream tastes great to me... then again i'll never go for those chemical powders that ppl want so they can get flavours like rocky road lol

That's funny I asked them about it yesterday and they told me it was the same stuff. The only difference is the size and label. This is typically what a company does when it goes mass market. I bought it and it was money well spent. And when a supplement rep purchases a competitor's product that should say something...

.
They straight out told you that they are falsely advertising their product? Why do I not believe that?

I appreciate the feedback from Physique on this matter, but also find it hard to believe. Also, isolates have that clean taste and smell, the kaizen has this.

I've beem using it for a bit now, and I must say - I am experiencing no sides (gas, etc) and better results then a cheap concentrate... and I like the taste. I use it with creatine, glutamine, and dextrose in milk. Works well.
