View Full Version : Sub Q question

I just want to make sure I don`t **** this up if I decide to try it. So I stick the pin in at 45 degree angle after pinching the skin and shoot, right? But when the pin is "in you" do you want to kinda see the needle under the top of your skin as you push it in ( needle in you more sideways) or do you want the needle deeper in your body ( needle more straight in)
Also, even if you do inject in fat, does the gear still get absorbed? I heard it just burns a little more and slows the absorption rate. Any little tips on sub q shots? Would a 22 gauge be too big to try a sub q shot?
Another pinning question. I forget who was talking about doing this but it involved putting air in the syringe to get all the gear out of the syringe. Do you pull .1cc of air in the syringe before taking gear out of the bottle then put your usual amount of gear in the syringe? So a .5 cc shot would then have you at .6 on the barrel. Correct? Can you also pull air in the syringe this way if you decide to try a sub q shot to get all the gear in?

Pinch a small section of skin near either side of your belly button and pull it out. Inject between your fingers. Angle of the needle doesn't matter, I inject mine so it's pointing straight out perpendicular to the floor.
If it ends up in the fat it will get absorbed just a little slower as per my doctor who prescribes the HCG.
For making sure I get all of it, once you have your injection ready, just pull the plunger back a tiny bit to create a little air bubble, then point the needle at the ground, and tap it. The little bubble will slide to the back. This way it will be there at the end of your injection to push all the liquid in to you, making sure you dont waste anything.

^^^ Hey thanks GSX! I`m gonna give it a little try today I think. Is it o.k to shoot more near the obliques area? I find the skin is thinner there, just seems like it`s better for some reason.

Never tried it personally there. For some reason I think it would sting more? But yes same idea it will work
I do get some small lumps if I do sub-Q oil based injections though, in case you experience that :)

I think waderow had some good posts on this.Maybe he will chime in

I`ve been putting my hcg there and it dosen`t sting, so I will give it a shot but will try near the belly button as well. I don`t mind the pockets everybody talks about. If you remember my other thread about my recent problematic shot, I now need a new places to poke as I only have my left glute as a place of confidence now... Sub Q seems so much easier and safer. I thought I was going to go to the hospital last time, **** was I ever nervous! I`ll post back about this sub q experiment.

you weren`t kidding about the stinging sensation in that area. Damn! As soon as I stuck it in there, I felt a bad burning sensation. Maybe it was because some oil leaked out and the pin was dripped a little with it. I had to take it out after .2cc and then stuck the pin near the belly button. It`s hard though to keep the skin pinched in that area during the inject.
A diabetic dude on Wade's thread said to stay away from the bellbutton.

if you are shooting HCG SubQ you should be using a slinpin...a 22g would have to much waste depending on the dose you are taking.

All my hcg shots were done sub Q. And no way would I stick a 22g in my stomach without getting the o.k here first!!!
I know there is some wastage of oil in regular shots and the air bubble trick in the syring can take care of that.
But how much waste is there in a regular slin pin? I ask because I`m approaching my phase where I will be injecting very low doses of test for a while then tapering down to even lower levels. I back loaded an insulin syring last night to try to sub Q shot but when you put the pluger back in you can`t create the air bubble to get all the juice out. Any solutions to this?
The other option would be to draw the oil out of the bottle with the insuling syringe then create the bubble and inject.
The injected spot from yesterday is a little sensitive to the touch but nothing that bad. I injected height wise, the same level as the belly button but to the side. I noticed it`s hard to keep the skin pinched and pinching lower to the side is easier to keep the skin pinched. Am I more on track here?

i think for diabetics slin dosing has to be pretty precise..so there is alot less waste using a slin pin

That makes alot of sense.

So far I`ve done 2 sub q shots. The shot done on Saturday now is about 95% pain free. The shot done on monday is kinda painfull to the touch but read that can be normal and last up to 2 days easily. I think I got that lump on monday because I massaged the area after pinning which I read was a no no.
So what are you favorite sub q sites besides the stomach area? I read glutes, and the hip area. Didn`t catch anything about the quads being a favorable area, did I miss it? Or is it not recommended?

hip area is nice for oils

Well I think I`ll give that a try today. I`m still not sure if I should try and grab a more meaty area or where the skin is thinner.

Well I`ve done 3 shots so far. This first was last saturday and there is still a bruised mark where the shot was done. The second was shot on the right abdomen side which resulted in having 2 red bumps that lasted 5 days or so. The hip shot is the one that went the best. Could hardly see or feel any bumps but also did not rub the area after the shot and entered the pin at a slight angle.
A question here. Say you get a bruise, a bump after the shot. Does that mean the gear will not be absorbed?

Freaks me out a bit......

I shoot sub-q all the time about halfway between my bellybutton and side. Rub the area for a minute after the shot. This will help distribute the oil. Not sure why anyone would tell you this is a no-no.

I guess i should clarify, i dont know if it is good or bad.....just my personal thing, no reason to say it at all, just freaks me out, like the heebie, geebie type freaky thing....goosebumps....i do most hcg shots im as well......gh is im, and sub q depending on timing, but oil sub q.......faint...lol

It just gives me a couple extra sites so I can rotate my shots around more. 1cc is the max I will do sub-q.

Heeby jeebies is a good scientific way to explain it lol... I get mad heeby jeebies when I inject sub-q.
I've tried it about 4-5 times now and it feels too weird having a pocket of oil there. At least with muscle, the injection site is just a little tense. If you're using good juice too, it won't even hurt aside from the stretching of the muscle if there's a good volume of oil.
I tried two sub-q shots again after reading that sticky thread and **** it lol.... not only did the oil slip out and go all over the place, but it was painful as hell for the next week and a half. Took three weeks or more before there wasn't anymore lump there. Even with a perfect sub-q shot it's still miserable and weird feeling. **** sub-q for oils~!! lol

That most likely is true because a drop of blood came out after I shot. Didn`t read anything about that in the thread...
