Was told last weekend by US border gaurd, while presenting my drivers license and birth cert., that as of Feb. 1st passports will be manditory for entry into the US. I contacted an MP about this and through her investigation she found this to be true. Argue with me about this all you want but be prepared come Feburary 1st to be denied access to the USA without a passport.

Pretty sad when customs don't even know there own job. Yes! a driver lincense is fine...although only the newer security ones...so if you driver lincense comes up that it is going to expire soon...then you will get the new cool looking lincense with all the security features. But hell tell me people are just going to say they lost theres to get a new drivers lincence with those features. Either way mines due next month...what after 8 years lol so I get one :)

Passport only if flying. Those are the new rules. Of course it's easier at the border if you have a passport but it wasn't part of the new rules.

OR
A valid passport;
OR
A NEXUS or a Free and Secure Trade (FAST) card;
